Lingard scored 9 goals in 16 games while on loan to the Hammers. In a full season he might score 15 or more. He would also be playing European football with Hammers a decent chance of going deep into the Europa Conference League.

Forest are one of the relegation favourites. They will probably score between 35 and 45 goals with Lingard maybe getting 4 to 8. He's an athletic player but I wonder whether he has the motivation to do the hard yards for a struggling team.

He has clearly gone for the money option and has dispensed with any notion of playing at the WC.
Reckon there is a very juicy bonus for him if Forest stay up.

He's taken a risk but I think being the main man there financially or on the park is going to get the best chance of making the England side. Probably suits his personality too. Since he came in and did that with you guys you've progressed to the point I don't think he is good enough to command a spot in your side

He'd play ahead of Benrahma, Fornals, Vlasic and Lanzini for mine.

Sounds like we are trying to sign Kostic from Frankfurt as a LW though.

Either all of the above or Forrest agreed for his jersey name to be Jlingz. That would seal the deal for sure!

I'd have him behind the first two personally but you watch them more closely.

Not over Tierney, but is Tierney ever fit?

At a total guess I think Zinchenko will want a move to somewhere he'll play in the midfield.

Looks like he'll be fighting for first choice LB according to Arteta.

‘His main position is as a left-back,’ Arteta said on Friday.
‘But within that position and within the formation that we have he can alter and occupy different spaces on the pitch. This is the main quality Alex has.'

Like Nagelsman said , its a miracle how they have no money but get all the players they want .

Amazing they can sign all these players and yet owe others eight figures

Why is anyone surprised? It's no different to when Real Madrid were making dodgy bank and development deals left, right and centre to make signings in the late 90's/00's.

Barcelona and Real Madrid will never be allowed to fail, there's not a single bank in Spain that would want to be associated with calling in their debts given the public outrage that would follow. They'll both just keep restructuring their debts with favorable loans and government handouts.

That or sell their training complex after getting the land rezoned like Real Madrid did when they needed to pay off some debt

FDJ has the right to terminate his contract with 15 days notice if owed more than 2 months wages:

Not sure why he doesnt go down that path and then take a much bigger signing on fee as a free transfer than what brokealona owe him!

It wasn't a one year deal with you guys though. Security or lack of in this deal means the 50k a week extra helps protect him for next season when he is a 30 year old free agent.

The more I think about it the smarter it is. Squad player at West Ham and he is no chance of a world cup spot. Talisman for Forrest for half a season and he probably gets in. Earns more this season and has freedom to move wherever he likes post WC in January 2023. Rather than potentially be just a squad player at West Ham for 2 years
No chance. Even 'if' he performs well, playing at a smaller club makes it harder to get in.

Technically he isn't owed wages as he is still being paid in line with the renegotiated contract he signed to help Barca during the pandemic so this wouldn't work. That renegotiated contract sees him get paid close to 100m euro to 2026 and Barca don't want to pay him that much so tried forcing him out the door and now are pressuring him to take a significant wage cut after he already took one to help them out. 17 million out of pocket for the last two years.

According to the letter of the law Barca have nothing to worry about. Morally they are bankrupt and there ain't no levers they can pull to wash away the stain on the club from this.
