McNeil is an interesting one, he has a lot of talent but think he only had 1 assist last season from memory.

LW is his best spot also, but that's Gordon's also IIRC. Maybe Frank converts him to a RW.

He would be the perfect get for us to replace the outgoing Azpi.

But he's just signed a 5 year deal, would cost a mint and is coming off a really bad injury. Sadly not going to happen.

He likely has a club lined up, that club however have probably said they won't pay a transfer fee which is why he is trying to get a release.

A lot of teams can, but with his wages (even his "generous" offer to cut it by 30% is still massive) I doubt many teams want to.

His desire bordering on demands of not being a bench option wouldn’t help either.
