What the *?

Bellingham going for €200m if so

US Dollars? About £60m?

Statement signing by Newcastle.

£60m for a guy who scored 6 goals last year in 32 games, and has the frame of a 19yo

Football is broken.

No idea whether it's a good signing or not, I know there's been a lot of interest in him for some time.

So a statement for Newcastle that they've been able to pull it off.

If a £60m signing breaks football it can't have been in much of a state.

I suspect that's just hyperbole, centred around the fact that it's not one of the established, traditional (entitled) elite that is going to buy him.

Sportswasher/slave owner/dictator clubs stick together.

PMSL.

Thinking that football isn't ruined because Newcastle buys a player isn't a defence of any club, country or supporter.

It’s a disgustingly inflated amount for a player who should not be attracting anywhere near that price.

The money flowing into the EPL is absurd, and actually will break football as we know it - if it hasn’t already.

This will end up making Slabhead’s transfer from Leicester to MU look like a steal.

Having said that, €15m comes to us so that’s a good thing, I guess.

Disgustingly inflated, LOL.

€60m for a 22 year old who has scored 33 goals in 105 games at an average of one goal every 200 mins or so.

In the Spanish league.

190cm and 77kg.

There’s a reason Newcastle are forking out €60m for him and it ain’t for his ability.

Who cares?

Clubs have overpaid for players for decades. We got slated for overpaying for the likes of Yaya, David Silva, Kyle Walker, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Ederson. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Life moves on, football moves on. Clubs get money in for selling players which they can reinvest in their own squad and facilities.

I genuinely have no idea why Newcastle would spend £60m on him other than they think he will improve the squad and take them up the table. I find it baffling that anyone could imagine any other motive.
