Of course not. Anything is possible. The A League itself has already given the go ahead to subsidise Ronaldos wages out of the marquee fund. They are not making a play for shits n giggles by bidding for him - this has come from the very top.

Compared to the MLS the A League has a more suitable league schedule for Ronaldo (he can play immediately instead of waiting for a few months like the MLS). Hes got zero legal issues in Australia also!

Guess we will hear shortly after his WC campaign ends....
