Is Enzo Fernandez worth €130m?

Very few players are.

I liked the look of Fernandez at the WC. Very very good player and only 23 too. 130 is definitely overs, but there are definitely worse players that could be blown on.

Yeah it's a lot of money on one player.

In terms of available CMs IMO only Bellingham would be in front of him. I'd love for us to go for him(not sure I believe the current links) as he's exactly what we are missing. But I don't think he'll be interested.

Gakpo looks exciting from the various Man United fan clips (many thanks ), but I am treating any purchases with a healthy dose of skepticism until further notice following the recent departure of the nerds in favour of (apparently) greater influence on LFC's transfer strategy by Klopp and his 2ic Pep Lijnders.

You wouldn't want to be spending too much money while the ppl who were responsible for the Darwin transfer are still there

They didnt fund anything. That came from club revenue & being tight arses. The only thing they have funded is the ground redevelopment & new training facility. Both interest free loans. Not gifts either.


Theyre parasites now with an asset that has reached its peak value so theyll be gone soon.

I can only hope they arent replaced by sportswashers otherwise I might have to become an Everton fan.

I caveat this by saying I haven't watched as much football as usual this season. I don't think Nunez will reach the heights of some of our other recent forward signings (acknowledging that's a pretty high bar), but has he actually been that bad?

4th in the league for non penalty goals+assists per 90mins, 5th in the league for shots on target.

Looks like he's missed a slew of sitters but still contributing more than most forwards? Will he clean that part of his game up I suppose is the key question.

Must be kidding surely, we've arguably been the best run club in the world on and off the field since 2015. You think they had nothing to do with this?

37 million in todays market for Gakpo is pretty crazy really. Terrific deal by the club IMO.

Ah yeah, same with that Coutinho money. It wasn't 160million, that was without all the add ons and bonuses etc! It was actually... checks Liverpool net spend over the last 5 years... 360million.
