In my opinion, van Dijk is far and away the best of this lot.

90mil is a lot to pay for 1.5 good seasons.

Aside from VVD, none of those have worked out or been value for money so far. Lukaku, Pogba, Maguire and Pepe were outright flops, Grealish has been ok, as has Kepa since coming back into the side but not worth what their clubs paid for them, and it's still early days for the rest (although I can't ever see Nunez being good value).

Outright might be a tad harsh as his first season with them was pretty good. Obviously, it's fallen apart badly and they haven't got their money's worth in the end. I think he's definitely still a PL standard defender but needs to move on from United to potentially rejuvenate his career.

Fair enough, I guess as you say his first season plus his international form would mean it wasn't an awful transfer, but agree it hasn't worked at United. Think he'd do well at a mid-tier club (which I suppose these days could mean a Brentford or Villa).

His international form does nothing for United though so should be completely discounted.
