As with Mudryk you guys dont seem to be able to go all in and get these big moves done.

You have to over pay in january, if you dont want too you'll just have to wait until summer.
Yeah, the Mudryk one is going to irk for some time. Someone needs their ass kicked for that one. Should have been sewn up by January 1, 12:01am.

I believe so. From all reports it's still happening, even if we are having a disaster of a season.

But we still need two or three more signings in the summer to rejuvenate an old and tired squad.
Do you see your club paying £130+ for him?

Think he’d prefer a CL club.

Oh no, thought this was done already.

Sporting being Sporting again.

Remember WHU having trouble with them over Carvalho.

They kept upping our price for Fernandes. Then fuss free sold him to United the next window.

Could have just triggered the release clause on Jan 1 and save the hassle. But no we, like Sporting, like to **** around trying to mess with deal structures for 28 days

And like Bruno they'll get by because a quality club will pay them more than the release clause in the summer. If only our director of football would be across the main targets contract details as well as he was across tax evasion

Portugal as a whole is a tricky place to buy, they like to milk us.

We should have known better. They've done this before.

Talk to his agent. Get across the release clause and actually pay it rather than try and structure up deals that fall short of it. And then late try and trigger it and find out they tricked you and it expired 2 weeks ago.

Because they know English clubs will pay, particularly top half teams know need to make important signings to keep up the pace.

Real has the idea. Spend massive and get either the best in the world in that position or just take all the elite young talent.

You're rapidly running out of time if so.
Window still isn't closed. ;)
Arrogance. Tsk Tsk.

The Arsenal come knocking and lil ‘ol Albion quake at the knees and cave.
It's OK mate. Spurs might be able to do something other than getting laughed at one day ;)
You've been s**t for years and now you're trying to be arrogant?
Wasn't meant to come across that way. But you're overly touchy with any transfer regarding your players so.

I hope you're right. But the window closes in a VERY short space of time, and an outcome where we haven't brought in cover for Partey is the worst possible outcome at the moment. Lokonga may be up to it in the future (he would not have been brought in if Mikel thought otherwise), but he isn't up to it now.

My point is, if the UK wakes up and Brighton still don't want to sell, as is their right, move on ASAP. Go after Zubimendi (sp?) or Onana. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.
We signed Partey on deadline day.

Sky Sports News understands Arsenal's £70m bid for Moises Caicedo has been rejected by Brighton.

The south coast club's stance remains the same, that he is not for sale and Sky Sports News has been told that position will not change.

The Gunners' second bid of £70m would have been a record transfer fee received by Brighton.

Mikel Arteta's side had their initial £60m offer for Caicedo rejected, which prompted the Colombia international to plead with Brighton to let him leave and join the Premier League leaders in a statement on social media.

Sucked in Arsenal. You're bidding for the Columbian Moises Caicedo.

We'll probably keep our Ecuadorian Moises.

Bait and switch for the win.

Which is why I said you were running out of time, not that you had run out of time. ;)
