He's been benched since he returned from the WC. Started 1 game, on as a sub twice and 3 times no game time all in the PL. Similar in the FA Cup.

Heard he'd kicked off in the tunnel before the game the other day, and Pep hinted that not everyone would be happy for Ake getting his goal.

Given his form thso season, and a few stories like that, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him leave in the summer. But surprised it's happened now.

Leaves us light on in fullback positions, so hopefully there will be a signing.
