Cancelo to Bayern just seems to have come out of nowhere. Not often City lose players of that calibre in their peak. Just from the outside looking in, something doesn’t feel quite right about City this season.

Perhaps this transaction is reflective of that and Pep is trying restore things internally.

They dont really have "bad" players though. So if the attitude he feels is slightly off and these 2 are main culprits it could be a good wake up call.

SAF used to always find someone deemed untouchable that he could move on every few years to keep everyone on their toes.
