Buying from Barca was never the problem though. They were happy to sell him, he just didn't want to leave.

I agree with Pants, I think they'd still be open to it but we need to accept that he isn't interested and move on.

I think Liverpool like to bring in players on low wages (like guys at other clubs already on low wages) so they can get away with low balling them for 2 or so years before they have to re-negotiate.

For example, like what was Sadio on at Southampton before we bought him? Probs not a lot so we can obviously offer more to bring him in but it's not ludicrous amount. Then two years later, we re-negotiate and the wages go up. For a few years you get them on the cheap. Probs the same has happened with Diaz and Nunez and Gakpo etc who will all eventually re-negotiate and extend and up the wages.

No chance we bring in a guy wanted 250K who isnt like generational. (blokes not named Bellingham)

You've just got to trust Klopp if that's who hes after mate. I guess if he ends up at Pool hes getting the contract that hes chasing.

Favourite player of the Klopp era. I’ve said before I think he was worth an extra 10 goals a season to Salah and Mané. In one of the best front 3’s the game has ever seen he was the one that knitted everything together. A perfect combination of filthy Brazilian flair with ruthless German efficiency.
