Mount has 12 months left on his contract. Chelsea need to sell due to their unprecedented spending splurge and don't want him going on a freebie in 12 months time. 30m sounds about right. 40m max.

I think even with a year left, he will be sold for more. Maybe not £50 million but £30m is too low. If a club is desperate to buy him this summer, they will pay more.

It’s strange that he was pretty well regarded at one time and that wasn’t even long ago. I could see Liverpool and Spurs being interested parties.

Liverpool fans are split on him from what I’ve seen but I think he would be a good signing.

Still a good quality prem player, young and homegrown. Just not the answer for a top 6 club in terms of a starting midfielder challenging for top 4 / trophies. I would be happy with him at 30m as a secondary signing. Could be our new Ox with much less injuries.

Are Chelsea desperate to sell? I think they're just prioritising selling someone like Mount as he has a $0 cost base as a youth player so any fee is a sugar hit to their bottom line. If need be though they'd easily sell a few other players first.

Who do you think they would sell? Auba will probably be terminated by the sound of it. Lukaku is coming back from loan as Inter can't afford him. Guess the main ones to go would be Pulisic / Ziyech / Havert. Ziyech is 30 and Pulisic has only 12 months left on his deal / injury prone. Havertz would be worth some decent coin to someone to a quality Bundesliga team.

Pulisic, Ziyech, PEA, plus any number of kids from their academies - just sold Simons to us for instance. I don't think they'll be in any danger with FFP if they don't sell Mount, especially as they have Nkunku coming in, they won't be splashing cash on a ton of new signings in the summer.

That'd be harsh. Clearly he is past his best and is not suited to Chelsea at all, however not sure that warrants killing the bloke.

No, he wants a certain level of wage that we aren't prepared to go to. Couple of others clubs are so hes exploring those options.

Somewhat, but then he’d still have to decide on playing out another season with Chelsea to get where he wants if they don’t make the right offer, or keeping his options open. Major tournament end of next season means he’s going to want to be playing regular football.
