Selling Bellingham is something I don’t really want to do… but if that can be turned into Enzo Le Fee, Edson Alvarez and Fresneda… that’s a very good return. If we were able to get Bella-Kotchap back home to replace Hummels too… we will cook.

Phil Jones will be missed.
Agreed

Liverpool have confirmed the departures of Ox, Keita, Milner and Firmino at the end of the season once their contracts expire.

All good club servants who have played important roles in our success over the last few years, none moreso than Bobby.

Keita maybe the only disappointment for me. When he joined I honestly thought he would end up one of the best midfielders in the world. To be fair when he did play he usually performed well, but for both he and Thiago their inability to stay on the park has been a huge issue for us. Chamberlain too, although I never had the same expectations of him as I did of the other 2.

Rough back of an envelope calculation that’s over £600k a week in wages freed up. Probably the most significant exodus we’ve had in a single off season in several years in terms of impact on the balance sheet. Makes the transfer window interesting.

Keita was by and large a waste of space and probably the worst signing of the Klopp era, would not classify him as a good servant at all.

He has a door named after him at the new Liverpool training ground.

“Sorry boss, I will be late for training.”

Klopp: “That’s no excuse. When you arrive, run through James Milner.”

Pretty much spot on. Had some excellent periods (first 6 months in his debut season, last season) but simply could not put a run of games together for any significant period of time. No point being a talented footballer if you can't actually get on the pitch and these were not serious injuries keeping him out. Always a "small muscular problem". Availability is one of the most important abilities and Keita failed on this spectacularly.

Not sure where he goes now. Ligue 1 / Bundesliga may be where he ends up with being less physically demanding and having 34 game seasons. Or Serie A. A disappointment for sure.

I checked out his bio and I genuinely don’t even remember him as a Manchester City player. 😳
I remember Messi nutmegging him at the Nou Camp and Peps reaction to it. No slight on Milner. Messi has done that to better players than him.

We all know wherever he goes he will play like 60 games next season and be the absolute fittest bloke on Earth.
