Would've thought Kane might want to take a crack at Shearer's record, rather than head to Spain now.
This was my thinking, surely he wants that record and he's probably two seasons away from claiming it. If he goes to Real now, he wont get it.

But then again money and trophies at this point is probably a big pull for him too.

Better to end your career and look back at the trophies you have won rather than just a goal scoring record that will get eaten alive by Haaland in like three years anyways haha.

But but but Brighton don't have buyout clauses in their contracts.

We don't.

This dickhead has posted false bullshit before.

There was an agreement with the player when he signed a new contract. There was no "clause" attached to it. It's exactly what we've openly stated many times before.

If a bigger club comes in for a player in the offseason we won't deny them the opportunity to speak to that club. We knew Alexis was off this summer, long before this twat posted about it.

Many outlets have reported that Albion’s midfield maestro has a ‘top six release clause’ embedded into his new Seagulls contract.

But Barber was quick to quash those rumours, and revealed none of Brighton’s stars have ‘big club’ exit clauses written into their contracts.

Speaking on The Beautiful Game podcast, the Albion CEO said: “We don’t operate like that.
“We try and avoid things like that because they become such a point of discussion in negotiations that you spend hours and hours on something that may never happen or, if it does happen, it may not be the right price at the right time.
“We try and avoid things like that. We know other clubs use them, and that’s fine, but it’s not something that we tend to get involved with.”

Was it when he tearfully waved goodbye a week ago or before that?

That's what everyone said about Aguero for years. Why havent Real and Barca come in for KDB, the current best mid in the world?

Real and Barca have pull but the PL is where it's at in today's football landscape and City is at the pinnacle of the PL. Haaland at City will be making ridiculous amounts of money and every season will have the opportunity to claim many trophies, then on top of that, he can chase down every record available.

Haaland will be at City for the next decade.

Youri Tielemans, Çağlar Söyüncü, Daniel Amartey, Nampalys Mendy, Ryan Bertrand, Ayoze Pérez and Tetê will all bring their spells at King Power Stadium to an end.

The Club remains in discussions with captain Jonny Evans with regard to his future beyond the expiration of his current deal this month, while an option has been exercised to extend the contract of midfielder Hamza Choudhury to June 2024.

7 players have left after their contracts have expired:

Youri, Soyuncu, Amartey, Mendy, Bertrand, Perez and Tete. Evans also in discussion to be moved on.

While I'm not sad about any of them leaving, losing some of those names all at once for nothing is hilarious mismanagement from our guy Rudkin. And yet, he's still seemingly under no pressure despite orchestrating this absolute shitshow we find ourselves in.
