I don't really see the logic in Saudi investing in one of Clearlakes investment funds just so they can overpay for Chelsea players. What do they get out of it?

If Saudis want players they can just put in a bid, and try to make a deal. Like they've tried for a variety of Chelsea and non Chelsea players.

They are for the Saudi League. I don’t think it’s that surprising that they’re picking off players from one of the biggest clubs in Europe that they know are desperate to offload players. At the same time it looks like they’re about to get 90m from premier league clubs for a squad midfielder and unwanted forward.

Probably more excited for this than any staff signing we've made for the past decade.

His record at Leverkusen was pretty exciting to say the least, signing the likes of Frimpong, Hincapie, Wirtz, Palacious, Diaby etc. That's exactly the model we should be employing going forward.

I also think that Xabi Alonso is a really big chance to become our next manager, Steidten was the one who signed him from Sociadad.

So its not odd to you that there's a conflict of interest between PIF and Clearlake Capital, and that all of a sudden flops can easily be taken off the books to this conflict given the wheels come pre-greased.

That’s what I can see happening with Mason Greenwood. If United get rid of him, I think most British clubs would think he isn’t worth the hassle. Saudi Arabia is an opportunity for him.

Not really all. We'll be selling 15+ in our fire sale, only a couple are off to the Saudis.
