For €100m. Take it.
Avoids selling to entitled English clubs.
Are all English clubs that have the nerve to buy players from other clubs entitled, or just the ones that try to buy Tottenham players?

According to one pundit, we don't want Rice, but bid £90m for him to help out Arsenal.

Not entirely how it does or why we would, but there you go.

Won't be the first person to talk made up shit about us.

I had just been reading redcafe tbf, which was maddening and it was awash with arrogance like “we’re United” and similar. Suggesting we should sell for that reason alone.

Couldn’t give a **** if they’re “United”. It is Levy’s one praise worthy decision. No more Berbatov’s or Sheringham’s. Spurs players won’t be sold to rivals anymore, if it can be helped.

Crazy imo. You get millions less and the rival club just spends their money on someone just as good (and probably cheaper).

All for the sake of saving face.
Not at all. They’re all 1 way arrangements. Name the last players both Manchester clubs, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea sold us.

Don’t have the stature to get a player put of any of the first 3 clubs so you’ll find most fans support Daniel refusing to sell any of our players to rival clubs. I disagreed with selling Walker, and that is one of the worst decisions we’ve made in a long time.

The nature of a player transfer is a two way arrangement. Buying club gets player, selling club gets money.

With that money, selling club is able to invest on new players, infrastructure, whatever they want. Doesn't really matter if you invest that money on a player from Liverpool, City, United etc or somewhere else.

No need to patronise. You know what I mean by 1 way arrangment.

And yes, it does matter to fans sick of seeing our best players go to more successful clubs.

Harry Maguire's there if you want him. ;)

Sounds like we'll have a face to face with United over Mount this week. £60m is probs the magic number.

You think? Don't think United are going any higher. Chelsea will need to come down IMO.

60m is in the middle of what we want and you are offering, a compromise.

The compromise was United going as high as we did and then we walked away with the offer on the table. Hope they stick to it and walk away if Chelsea continues to be unreasonable.

Have you really walked away?

Seems we'll meet face to face like we asked and we'll meet somewhere in the middle price wise.

Yes they walked away from negotiating further with the offer on the table, it's chelsea who have come back to the table because Mount confirmed he still wants to leave.
