Not sure it’s significant overpay, I’d say in a sane transfer market he’d fetch £75 million give or take
They’ve over spent by about £30 mill imo due to English tax/inflated market, he’ll be at the club for 8 - 10 years you’d think so it’s not the worst bit of business
VVD at 75m. TOTM multiple times. Best defender at Ballon Dor, FIFA awards. EPL and Champions League winner.
Rice is still 30m more if not 40m with the add ons.

Numerous examples. It's not pedantry, Jatz was commenting on confirmed signings, I responded regarding confirmed signings. Not sure why Arsenal fans are getting wound up.
Surprised people don't rate the Havertz signing. Think he will do very well. Arteta sees something in him and wouldn't have spent that much, nor wanted to sign him if he was not a player he saw ability in.

Arteta wouldn’t have spent 70m on Pepe unless he saw something.

Good luck with that, we tried and hes not good there. His best spot is as a 2nd striker. As Kai puts it hes best as an inbetween 9 and 10.
