Good luck with that, we tried and hes not good there. His best spot is as a 2nd striker. As Kai puts it hes best as an inbetween 9 and 10.

Would Arteta have signed Havert due to his versatility? Can do a job at #8, also at false 9 if needed and out wide. Bit of a jack of all trades / master of none.

See this is similar pedantic stuff. You know the point I am making ultimately. Ole and Maguire then.

Saying a manager sees something given a large fee is so wishy washy nothingness. Every club sees something in almost every signing they make.

Anybody who played FIFA Ultimate Team that year knew Pepe was the best player in the world and I'm fairly convinced that's the reason Chelsea bought Nkunku.

Surprised people don't rate the Havertz signing. Think he will do very well. Arteta sees something in him and wouldn't have spent that much, nor wanted to sign him if he was not a player he saw ability in.
I guess he's been underwhelming for 3 seasons and you are buying someone in terrible form which is always a huge risk.

Hes not good at 8 or out wide, so I wouldn't say he can do a job there.

Maybe as a 10, false 9 or 2nd striker.

I'm not sold on Arteta yet, was a fair old bottle job.

Kai may have played under a better one at Chelsea at one stage.
You say that, but who can keep up with a team who wins 16 straight in the league alone?

Anyway we will see I suppose. Hopefully he's a boom not a bust.

Is it? The question or conversation was around announced signings, I thought it was just Maddison v Havertz at this stage. Until Rice has signed, he hasn't signed.
We have Vicario signed as well

He's clearly got skills but £65m seems overs for someone who hasn't set the PL on fire in 3 seasons.

Highly doubt Maddison has more goal involvements than Salah.
That was the other one. Knew there was more than just 2 ahead of him. But still a ridiculous amount considering who they are ahead of him and the quality of Leicester

How can you rate the signing? He's been fairly garbage for Chelsea.

You never know though, he might turn it around.

Are you likely to get all those positions with what you've already spent?
I can’t see it to be honest unless players leave. Xhaka has been confirmed as leaving, perhaps Nketiah or Balogun, Partey rumoured to and possibly Tierney/Holding.

How much are Bayern going to pay for Harry Kane anyway. ? (If the recent rumours are true, although Harry Redknapp has debunked it a couple of hours ago)

One redeeming feature of Jose and Conte-ball. At least we know actually sign players before August. Not as much Deadline Day specials.
Get them in for pre-season. Getting Daniel to alter to this is a feat in itself.
