Gallagher could be one of those win-win moves like Palmer was. In our CM pecking order he's behind Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr and at the Lo Celso level but actually stays fit. He is way ahead of Skipp and Hojberg.

His interceptions skills are excellent and the rest of his game is pretty good. He's continued to improve whereas Tom Davies looked good as a youngster but his form dropped off.

I was surprised Poch didn't give the armband to Thiago after James and Chilwell both got injured. Colwill was captain when Gallagher was out against United.
