United arent silly enough to buy Sterling, if we move him it'll be a loan somewhere.
I hope we aren’t silly enough to make the type of purchases in the future that we have been known for. Would love to be a club that is always on the lookout for the next Garnacho/Mainoo/Hojlund/Greenwood (without the crimes of course) than quick fix Pogba/Antony types.

So you want to buy good players not bad. So simple! Clubs are dumb for not doing this.

Why do you want to look out for overhyped average players? You should be aiming to buy excellent players like City do.

£80m+ was the bid from memory. If only.

I reckon Mbappe would be a Real Madrid player already if Arsenal bought him in 2017. And that isn’t a snipe at Arsenal. PSG have just held their ground better than most clubs would in retaining Mbappe.

The salary/bonuses they pay helps in his retention.

Yeah, exactly. I am not sure many clubs would turn down a massive transfer fee for Mbappe like PSG apparently have. They are losing him on a free transfer when they could have sold him in the summer before the World Cup for £150m+, that’s just crazy.

Political pressure from Macron / Emir of Qatar plus unlimited oil money also played its part.

Something Arsenal never had up its sleeve.

They've signed a couple of big names, apparently they're on one game contracts cos they're playing the top of the table club, and their owner was those players' agent.
