Has any young player signing in Saudi worked out? They seem to all head back to Europe. Older guys are more likely to stay with the lady bug payday thing.

Clubs want him, he is just on stupid money and won't take a pay cut.

He does not strike me as the sort of guy who wants to fight for his next contract - in which case why would he take a pay cut? This contract is his last payday.

some of the players at the clubs simply get pushed out and released/sold. neymar, luiz felipe, alex telles, talisca, seko fofana all moved on cos of the squad limits. most of the ones that stay are the old blokes who have won everything and want the big payday, or the younger ones tend to be players who have bounced around a bit and then struck it big.

That's how I see it. Clubs would be easily able to see which players are committed to the club and which are mercenaries. That's not being critical of Duran. It's a short career so why not capitalise. Villa also get the win for their transfer fund and PSR.

We're having a look at Tyler Morton apparently, he's probably the technical deep lying playmaker that Potter wants to add to build from the back I suspect.

We need homegrown younger players, so I wouldn't mind it, but might have to wait til the summer I suspect.
