I reckon it has more to do with his wages. Villa have gone over and close to £40 million a few times for footballers, but how many of those have been paid £300,000 a week? It’s the story of us trying to sell players, their wages are too high for clubs to want to take on.

In that case a lower transfer fee with a signing on bonus to Rashy makes sense. Him and his agent would understand that he isn't going to be on the same contract at Villa as he was at United. That goes without saying. But him and his agent can at least negotiate a signing on bonus to mitigate lower wages. Guess it's whether Villa can convince Utd to lower their demands. But certainly he seemed to fit in well at Villa and they seemed to want him.

I hope so. Anything to get rid of him please lol.

Isnt it just the same thing though?

Unless the signing on bonus doesnt match what he'd lose in wages, so still unsure why Rashford would want that.

I did say mitigate the lower wages.

The reality is if Rashford joins Villa he won't get getting the same wages as at United. This is simply reality. If wages are his only concern his agent should advise a move to Saudi Arabia.

its remarkable that chelsea have spent so much money yet on paper dont have a title challenging team.
Because they haven't fixed their goalkeepers and they keep overpaying for players who aren't at title level and eventually will run out of things to sell to themselves.
