I thought a move to Spain was the most likely scenario.

I don't think he's good value at 40M, besides set pieces he doesn't offer much athleticism as a midfielder, but maybe that's just me. No resale value also really.

The thing with Moyes, he has 12 months left on his deal and it's not going to be extended. May as well just bite the bullet and move on really.

He doesn't offer anymore than what Paqueta offers in athleticism and is as fast as Soucek

That's basically the issue, we need someone more dynamic in midfield for mine.

But he'd be an upgrade on Soucek at 30M.

Yep agreed, the thing is if he lost in the conference league final he would have been sacked.

Sack him now and bring in Xabi Alonso or Oliver Glasner.
