I find it hard to believe we’d drop a £100m offer without at least a verbal agreement with the player. Agent f***ing about? Who knows. This is all madness.

Yes that one doesn’t make sense, surely these things are sorted in advance to reaching an agreement with the selling club. The agents/intermediaries finalise this stuff and I guess is why they know take such a slice of the pie in transfer dealings. This is quite the bizarre saga unfolding here.

If that's true that's hilarious.

Postured and dragged out the transfer for way longer than it needed to be only to have to pay an extra 15 million on top of what you probably could have gotten them for originally if you just got the deal done earlier.

That’s not the hilarious part about the fee.

I guess if we end up with him in the end it doesnt really matter too much. We need him badly.

Great for you guys to end up with more money too.

To be honest I’m glad he’s going to Chelsea, its just obscene money.

If you bring one player in for £110m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney. The day that this is football, I'm not a Liverpool fan anymore, because the game is about playing together.

Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want us to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.

How about some inspirational words from RDZ then. Embrace the soul and the spirit!

Are you testing people to see if anyone agrees with you? 😂

I actually think there is a school of thought that Spurs will be better without Kane, not so predictable going forwards etc

Long as they spend their transfer fee astutely (and I trust Ange to do so) they'll be fine.

This isn't Aussie Rules, in football you need a top striker

Maybe but Tottenham never won anything significant with Kane anyway, and I think it's smart of them to cash in a massive transfer fee just as he is probably past his best/peak.

Thoughts on Willy Gnonto Elmer_Judd?

Seems to be behaving like a right child after signing a 5 year deal last year with no relegation clause. I'd take him at Everton still but also makes sense why Leeds are standing firm.

* him.

Would prefer to let go of players who don't want to be there but also he signed that extension as you said.

A deal will probably get done sooner or later though but I hope he fails at his next club.

Bit uncalled for. I was defending Spurs FFS
Being better without a 20+ goal scorer is merely a coping mechanism comment many are coming out with.

Maybe you were being genuine for once, I'll give you the benefit then. I just hate the trophy commentary in a sport where the sportwashing corrupt win heaps, the established elite sometimes and everyone else never. Then their plastic fanbases use that established hierarchy to lord it over the rest.

Bostonian cops it for calling it as it is.

Can't speak for Bostonian , but I am generally sincere and genuine for once (although granted, I will admit I have given you several reasons in the past for doubting me about my posts about Tottenham)

It probably may seem cold comfort, bur at least Harry has gone to a club in another country, and not plying his trade in the Premier League again (Bayern Munich are a-holes, but surely the lesser of evils like Chelsea or Man Utd from a Spurs fan perspective)

Your comments about sportswashing is pertinent and relevant, but at least you have never experienced the pain of seeing your club being relegated (on 3 occassions) and coming dangerously close to folding/cease trading (thanks to criminal Ken Bates)

I honestly wish Spurs the Best Sans HK amd under Ange !

It's the emergence of the Gen Z footballers.

You'll have some quick to sign contracts without reading what's in them just to get lots of money, then quick to act like babies when they realise they can't just do what they want.

Who was Man City's striker in their 2021-2022 93-point title winning season, champ?
They actually finished on less points with their "top striker" Haaland the following year. Looks like you don't have it all figured out yet buddy.

A champ and a buddy!
