He's notoriously been a tight ass with spending. Tight asses don't just pass up on a big pay day.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he's gone at the back end of this window.

What's the point holding onto him for one more season, only to lose him to the same rival for absolutely nothing next year anyway.
It would make sense if Spurs were challenging and they wanted one more go at it with Kane. But they are no where near trophies anyways so should just sell him and have a fresh start under Ange IMO.

Why wouldn't he be interested in Bayern?

Might be just me but personally if I was in his shoes I’d prefer to break the PL all time goal scoring record than go to Bayern and help them win their 100th consecutive league title.

I guess the pull there would be a crack at the UCL.

You can’t tell me it wouldn’t be one of the joys of your life to hear Harry Kane try to speak German when he hasn’t even grasped English yet.

If Levy was smart he'd keep links quiet until they are secured. If it's leaked a new CF has been signed it would affect his bargaining position with Bayern significantly as they know that Levy doesn't want to sell him to another PL club and that Levy would be committed to a sale in the summer window with his contract expiring next year.

So to me it makes sense that links to other forwards would be kept quiet until they are locked in and a Kane sale is also agreed. In an ideal world they are both done at around the same time.
You get screwed either way. Get linked to a forward now and Bayern bid a cheaper price. Sell to Bayern now and then every club that has a forward we are interested in jacks their price up knowing we are looking for a forward to replace Kane

He could have a year or two at Bayern, win something and then retire at United and break the record.

You think they are going to pay 90m to let him go in a year or 2?
Two years and he'll be in his 30s with only a year or two left on his Bayern contract. Might not be free, but won't cost £90m.
