Exactly this. China was fine as long as Xi was happy to waste money on football. The moment he lost interest it collapses.

The Saudi royal family can only waste so much government money on footballers. The average person isn't interested in attending matches over there. Sporting culture is pretty much non existent. They'll get bored in a few years and also pull the plug. At which stage the league will collapse.
