While that is true i do think the clubs will come to a compromise in the end. We'll meet somewhere in the middle.

I tend to agree.

90 million plus add ons to get over the 100 million will probably get it done.

The only sticking point after that is we'll want it over 2 years, not spread out over a longer period.

If some other club comes in and stumps up the 100 million and 5 folds his wages he'd be in front of a mic saying it was always his dream to play for "insert club".

I'm more bemused by the strategy you went in with to put in multiple low bids that had already been rejected last season from Arsenal.

That strategy would seem openly to make us more likely to dig our heels in at the 100 million than want to willingly come to the table to get a deal done.

I suppose that's representative of the contract Chelsea gave him when he was top young prospect. They will be happy to get him off their books for a few million in transfer fee. £50k per week might be realistic at Fulham, which is a big pay cut but still a huge amount of money.

I guess it's all relative. Apparently Jordan Henderson just signed to the Saudis for £700k per week.
