Robbens problems were more his body failing him at Chelsea

Yeah fair comment. Players can have a bad run with injuries and feel like a change of club will also change their luck, especially if they can get a better paid contract!

Talking of injuries, you must be praying that Chilwell, Thiago and James can stay fit. There's a lot of talk about the young prospects in midfield and forwards but those three being in or out of the team are the difference between mid-table and top 6.

We have pretty good depth at CB and FB now with Disasi, Badiashile, Maasten and Gusto all decent quality. Im more worried about CM as if Enzo gets injured we are ****ed.

I don't know if Enzo or Gallagho can be your DM to allow Chilwell and James to push down the wings. The gossip seems to be that Caicedo might cost £100m. Or £50m for Palhinha but he's too old at 28 lol.

I'm sure some of them will turn out to be good signings. I'm negative on Chelsea as you have no midfield depth and it will take a while for all of these new signings to gel.

Agree we desperately need Caicedo or we are ****ed. By the sounds of it we'd still like to move on Gallagher and bring in Adams to replace him. A lot of pressure on Santos to step straight up too.

Will take time to gel.

We'd still be severely lacking depth though. Gallagher had a disappointing season, but I have faith he can still recapture his Palace form and become a valuable squad player for us. If Enzo or Adams* (should we sign him) go down, and Gallagher leaves, we'll be in a bit of strife.

Sounds like it'll be about 35M for Alvarez, very close to agreeing the fee with Ajax.

Looks like it's happening. That would leave about 100m in the kitty for a left-back, centre-back, striker, left winger and a number 10.

Yeah I dunno, I think 4 CMs to cover a 2 man pivot is fine for a season without European football.

I club really rates Santos so he's going to be involved a lot. Him plus Enzo, Caicedo and one more should be fine it's just who is the one more. Sounds like we want Adams though I'd rather try for Onana from Everton(we did have a bite at him last window).

Left winger should have been done with already Barnes or Borges really.

Heard Forest are after Cresswell, but we want 5M for him.

In any case, I doubt Moyes lasts until the end of the window.

Think we need at least 1 more CM also, Downes or Soucek don't really cut it for mine.

Adams is not really a #8.

He's a Kante style DM.

He's not great on the ball, but superhuman in terms of some of the ground he can cover to defend. He's not really cover for someone like Fernandes.

Yeah I know, I don't think I suggested he was an '8'.

We are looking at bringing in 2 DMs. one being Caicedo and sounds like the other being Adams(who would deputise/backup).

Santos is the one that would cover for Enzo.

We have 0 DMs in our squad and have a greater need. Think you'll rinse us first round. We need Lavia and Caicedo in an ideal world. In reality despite Fenway Shite Group receiving 52m for Fabinho/Henderson (who would have on a free transfer in two years time) they still can't close a Lavia deal despite offering 40+5m when Soton want 50m.

Despite all the ridicule Boehly copped I'd still much rather have clearlake as our owners than our current leeches.

The pro Manchester United media are out in force today to defend the obscene price for Hojlund. It's a shame that the media is incredibly bias these days when it comes to football, no critical thinking at all.

I commented on one of the many BBC articles how it was a sound bit of business from Atalanta - who I am a fan of - and we have a history of buying cheap, developing and selling on for profit. In most cases whoever gets onsold is never quite the same at their new club (for various reasons) I got hounded for the comment - someone said I knew jack all about Atalanta?

I have no idea who they supported, however, it was boggling when there has been a lot of people putting in their two cents about the transfer and getting big knee-jerk reactions from other supporters about it

FWIW I was sad to see him go, as he does have a heap of upside, however for the price we got, we can get a couple more decent strikers in and keep pushing for Europe

McTominay?
40 odd for him would be a good deal for both

Wouldn't say 40M is value for us. Jacob Steinberg thinks we are going to be bid 55M for Maguire and McTonimay together, which I think is about fair.

Not how I'd spend the Rice money, but they're going to let Moyes cook it seems.

Maguire doesn't want to leave. Or take a pay cut on his £200,000-a-week. I'm not sure how that move happens.
