And time to move on.

Surely the club didn’t reject £30 million for an average footballer? I guess gone are the days where we are selling Nani and RVP for a combined £7 million. 😂

Feel like you are trying to Mason Mount us really.

I'm just hoping we pivot to Fofana and Todibo from Nice from here.

Sounds like we are right into Tobido as a replacement for Maguire if he eventually gets sold.

Not sure what is more insane.
West Ham offering 30m to make Maguire their marquee defensive signing or United actually turning it down.

Sounds like Caicedo is starting to push for the move.

Such a weird one. Shouldn't have signed a new deal if he was this keen on a move. Or else Brighton promised him something they now aren't delivering on.

Sounds like his new deal was just a payrise not any extension on time and he was told he'd be sold if a reasonable offer came in. They should have pushed for a release included(future new signings probably will).

I guess the question is whats reasonable?

It was an extension in length of contract.

We now have him signed until 2027 with a club option for 2028.

What's reasonable is paying us what we want for our player.

We promised Macallister something and we honoured it.

Nothing was promised to Caicedo.

All we've ever said is we won't stand in players way IF we receive the valuation we place on them.

Caicedo is available for transfer if a team gets near our valuation.

We won't sell for 20 million under what we value a player at though.

You talk in absolutes like you've been in these meetings with them. You have absolutely no way of knowing what was promised to him, if anything.

Yes we talk in absolutes.

There is zero evidence something was promised.

Enough to suggest nothing was promised.

Have you missed the whole narrative that hasn't changed from last season?

Caicedo is free to go when our valuation is met.

Another thing is his former club gets 20% of the fee so i guess thats another reason for Brighton to milk it for all its worth.

For all the talk of West Hams academy they only got like 6 English players on the books. I think they simply need to sign players from England at this point to make the home grown quota so it explains the interest in Maguire and McTominay and Ward-Prowse

Im not sure any other English CBs really exist on the open market besides Maguire so its either him or no one?

You keep saying we.

You're not an employee of the club. Especially an employee that would be privy to confidential meetings.

You have no say over when or if Caicedo is free to go, just like the rest of us. Continually inferring you do is odd.

We is the club, who the **** doesn't say we when they talk about their football club.

WE know the clubs position because they have stated it enough times.
