The funniest part about this is the fact that anybody would think FSG will stump up 80 million for anyone...
You stumped up 75mill for Virgil van Dijk and an initial 69 million for a guy who can't hit the side of a barn

One thing FSG have been extremely successful at is convincing a lot of their supporters that they don't spend money on new players.

£95m so far this season and still in the market for more.

The Glazers were great at it as well

Sounds like Hojlund has pretty significant injury/health issues that might make an immediate impact for United quite unlikely.

This season might be very much a development one by all accounts.

I think it would have been a development season anyway. He will start some games and come off the bench in most I reckon.

Is that success or failure? Their supporters are critical about the lack of spending.

Chelsea wouldn't want to sign both Casciedo and Lavia would they? Is the Lavia bid a bluff to push Brighton towards a deal?

I watched Casciedo and Lavia come up against each other last season. It was pretty even but it seems Lavia is 40M cheaper.
Was wondering the same thing. That pair contesting in the midfield would bring the heat.

It's always sell to buy though. We dont get VVD and Alisson if we dont sell Coutinho.

When in reality we should be keeping Coutinho and bringing in Ali and VVD anyways. Of course it worked out fine cos Cout fell off but it's not about the player. It's about the principle of not having to sell to buy.

Sidenote I love that Nunez can score 15 goals in his debut season but cant hit the side of a barn door. Should get 50 a season when he can actually hit that barn right.

They spend money on new players, just no where near enough money. And that's the problem.

Arsenal spent 168m net spend last season and so far this summer they have spent 197m net. So in the past two season Arsenal have spent 365m net.

Compare that to Liverpool and last season we spent 57m net spend and this summer just 62m net for a combined total of 119m net spend.

So Arsenal alone over the past two season have outspent us by 246 million dollars and you wonder why they are challenging City and we're falling backwards.

We just do not spend enough money.

But you can keep going, two years ago, net spend of 57m, year before that, net spend of 67, year before that we made a profit in the window of 38 million.

So in the last 5 years our net spend has been.

I love how you include the Community Shield goal in that, so desperate to pump his numbers up. Also less than half his shots were on target, with 78 of his 111 shots coming from inside the penalty area.

Anyhow, you've sold players, you can buy players. This woe is me bullshit from Liverpool fans is tiring.

We must only have about £13bn of the Coutinho money left to explain how Liverpool have spent without spending.

Coutinho was 5+ seasons ago, Liverpool don't make much from sales nowadays.

Nobody talks about Coutinho money still being spent. The Coutinho money was immediately spent on Ali and VVD. Pretty sure everyone knows that.

We dont make a lot from sales but we make enough to help FSG only spend like 50-60 million a year.

60m in sales last year isn't nothing. 45m the year before.

That was quicker than I thought :D

Moomba perhaps you were pipped to the post haha (received a notification however cannot see the post now).
I was pipped at the post. I need to work on my moh game, I must still be in preseason mode.

Also I couldn't work out how to post the moh tweet and not the one above it.

Sure have. Baby numbers that dont get you anywhere. Every club spends. But Liverpool dont spend anywhere near enough and FSG just rely on the genius of Klopp to get results. It's dumb.
Baby numbers that get you two champions league finals and a premier league title.
