Also has anyone seen all the hype around Messi in America online. I find it really funny where they are like Messi SCORES AGAIN! Since joined his team has won four straight games and Messi has scored in EVERY GAME!!! He's the GOAT!!!

And Im like... yeah he is the GOAT and now he's playing against farmers. Of course he's gonna look ****ing fantastic haha

Does Chelsea get a few years exemption because they've got new owners.

Hard to see them not being in trouble otherwise.
Have you seen their sales and length of contracts? You go on about amortisation enough I didn't expect this comment from you.

He doesnt want to take a pay cut. How long has he left on his contract at United?
If it was Woodward that signed him, another 45 years left

We've annoyed them a lot lately. Pinched players, coaches and other staff off them. Then Colwill snubbing them to come home ruffled a lot of feathers. Now Caicedo, they sick of the sight of us.

I guess there'd be a lot of twitter/social media banter going on to, some take that a bit to seriously.

I don't think Colwill snubbed us.

He was just in a situation where he was never going to be able to force a move.

Perkins was sick.
Farke seemed to clearly insinuate that he’s training is not up to scratch.

Here he was asked about Costa and Perkins..said Costa was agreed at start he was to leave then went on and said following ..

but what I want to see is that you grab your chance in training and have to feel that you're fully committed, that you show quality in training that you show. Also that you want to be involved and then you have a chance to be picked. If I'm not happy with the training performance of a player I don't pick him, not even for the travelling squad and I'd rather travel with three goalkeepers or somethi

My attempt at piecing together the Caicedo drama…

Chelsea agree personal terms with Caicedo months back, he’s happy to go, but Chelsea can’t/won’t meet Brighton’s valuation. The deal stalls.

Liverpool touch base with Caicedo as one of their midfield targets but nothing concrete as he’s seen as financially unattainable at the time, and they focus on plan B/C/D instead.

Transfer window rolls on, Chelsea still can’t/won’t meet Brighton’s valuation.

Liverpool get an unexpected windfall (and hole in the squad) with Fabinho and Henderson leaving, allowing them to meet Brighton’s valuation. They check with Caicedo, verbally agree to match the personal terms Chelsea were offering, and submit the £110m bid.

Chelsea react quickly and offer Caicedo improved personal terms. Chelsea is the preferred destination from Caicedo’s perspective.

At present we have:
  • Liverpool with a better offer to Brighton but needing to improve their offer to convince Caicedo.
  • Chelsea with a better offer to Caicedo but needing to increase the transfer fee they’re offering Brighton.

Did I miss anything?

If he had of asked he'd have been sold. We weren't keeping anyone who didn't want to be part of the rebuilding.

I know we'll never agree though. He just wanted to play imo and all it took was one Poch convo to convince him.

I find it hilarious that PSG are not going to play Mbappe this season if they can’t sell him this summer. PSG could have sold Mbappe 12 months ago but instead they refused to sell him because of some misguided notion that anyone would give a shit during the Qatar World Cup that Mbappe plays his club football for a Qatari owned club. This entire mess was caused by PSG and now they are shitting themselves trying to sell him for a big fee. Real Madrid are incredibly patient…. and apparently, Mbappe doesn’t give a toss about not playing. Sucked in, PSG. 😂

Fab was saying on youtube that its pretty much done. Sorry mate. Reddy has sound to be quite the Red over the last few days.

To me Chelsea have had his heart since May and just assumed it'd happen eventually.

Liverpool have secretly been planning a late bid and have gone in ghungho at the last minute thinking we wouldnt match. And then thought it wouldnt be a problem getting Caicedo to choose them after we pulled out.

But Caicedo has wanted Chelsea since May and hes not Interested in Liverpool. So all youve done is bump up the price.

The only winners here are Caicedo and Brighton.

I don't think he would of.

What you wanted for him and what we could afford would never have been close.

We knew that, he knew that.

We probably put in a few bids for him so he could get his wage pumped up to its max.

He would have been sold to Liverpool not Brighton if he wanted out. Klopp was all over him.

And Levi is from a family of mad Reds.

Had his pocket since May.

This isn't a play for the badge player you're getting.

Except he didn't want to go there.

RDZ was why he wanted to potentially come back to us.
We are never going to agree obviously but if Colwill had wanted out every team in the league would have been chasing his signature.

All moot though now.
