You could offer that transfer fee but I doubt he’s going to Saudi Arabia on the same wages he is on right now. If he’s on £120,000 a week now, the Saudi’s are probably going to pay him £300,000+ a week.

I doubt it happens but if he goes to Spurs it’ll be because of Ange. Ange said yesterday he’ll be the one to decide who stays and comes in.

Selling Lukaku this window for 30m will actually cause a huge FFP headache for you. His current book value is 58m. Sell him for 30m and that's an instant loss of 28m on your books - critical with EPL P&L rules and your current financial situation.


You're actually better off loaning him for a small loan fee until his book value reduces to a point where you don't take a massive hit when selling. Or one of those loan with obligation to buy type deals but there's the risk that the PL will view that as a sale anyway.


Just makes the Lukaku to Spurs talk all the more ridiculous. Another loan to Inter/Juve may be the best you can hope for.

Saudi Arabia is only a shithole for us. But for people that can afford to live in mansions, in the nicest gated communities, I am sure it’s not. It isn’t like any of these footballers are going to be living in the desert. I don’t support any footballer going over to that country but the lifestyle would be as good as a players millions would allow.

No mate. It's a shithole. There's nothing to do for the average westerner., even those that have unlimited cash. The missus's social life is restricted to areas with just westerners in it if they move. Forget any form of social life / hospitality entertainment. Obviously there's the option that the wife/kids stay at home in Europe but that will take its toll on the players mentally.

Could be any number of things that are not compatible with Saudi's extremely strict enforcement of Sharia law. This is going to be a problem and has been in the past. Plenty of players have signed massive deals in Saudi in the past and find themselves leaving pretty quickly.


I wonder how Ronaldo deals with this stuff, he isn't married to his long time girlfriend. I can see Neymar having issues.
