He's basically accusing Ten Hag of lying. If he wanted a future at United he would have been better advised to work it out in private rather than complain on Twitter.

Ten Hag has previously said Sancho's absences on the field of play were due to "a combination of physical, but also mental problems." It's not clear what that means.

I recall at the time suggesting his stats were inflated because he'd been playing in Germany and I was laughed out of the conversation.

We've seen that with Kagawa and Mkhitaryan before but the Sancho situation is way more than just a player struggling to perform at a higher level...He just looks like a shadow of the player he was and he doesn't even look interested.

When you watch him play his body language is really poor and he looks to have no confidence. I think something is definitely off behind the scenes with him and there have been lots of rumours over the last 18 months or so that he's struggling with his mental health, which might explain it.

Quite unusual for a it to play out so publicly like that. There’s clearly a rift and the references to “standards” reminds me of Arteta a few years ago with Ozil first, and then Aubameyang later.

He’s suffering from what a lot of older players, who were very good players, without a club suffer from. He has way too big of an ego to settle for a smallish club and just assumes Real Madrid or Barcelona will fall into his lap. He should recognise that he’s had a great career, been very good for a very long time and just settle for being Number 1 at a club outside of Europe’s elite.

Or it’s not that at all and he just hasn’t found a club yet.
