Wonder if a Championship club has come asking for him

Edit: Sounds like Plymouth are interested

Premier League teams don't mess around with loans if they are not working. A whole swathe of recalls across the league.

We had Nat Phillips on loan from Liverpool. We sent him back before the January window because he was so shit. It's amazing players like that would be on tens of thousands of pounds a week in a PL squad and they are significantly worse than a 500k club signing from the League of Ireland that Ange had banished to Aberdeen last year.

Devine was playing every game and doing well for Port Vale which is League 1. Tottenham obviously saw an opportunity to improve the standard he was playing at by getting him Championship football

In all seriousness how is it players like De Gea & Lingard are clubless after finishing big contracts at PL clubs?

Surely someone like Lingard could have negotiated a deal in the Championship. Or if he was not prepared to play in Saudi Im sure plenty of clubs in the likes of Japan, MLS, Australia etc would be prepared to sign him on reasonable terms.

De Gea at 32 years old for a keeper is mystifying. Especially after 10 years at United and being ultra high profile. Is it again wage demands? Surely with both still unemployed beggars cant be choosers. Surely a La Liga club would take De Gea on for 50k / week or something like that.
Dave and Lingard are in very different positions. Dave has plenty of money and didn't need more. He'll either go to a top club or he will retire. Never struck me as a player that loved football per sec anyway.

Lingard needs to be careful or he'll end up blowing his career earnings. Jesse can't afford to have too much pride.

I think Nat Phillips is similar to Harry Souttar, better in a defensive side, doing a bunch of headed clearances.

When we had all our CB's out for the season a few years back, he pretty much carried even worse players like Rhys Williams and Kabak to a 3rd place finish, but even then when we pushed our defensive line up his lack of pace was exposed.

We'll probs be the crazy ones to pay Osimhens buyout.
35m received on a academy player probably gives you a chance at that. That would make more sense why they looking for that amount. That or grab Ferguson from you academy side Brighton

I guess they've got Chalobah and Maasten up their sleeve too. With the way FFP is set up its a bonus having a strong academy.

Man Brighton would drain us £200m for Ferguson haha, weve donated enough money their already.

It gives you a sugar hit as long as you keep producing them every year. A couple of bad academy years could cause a lot of pain which would be a real shame

True. But i guess its not a recent thing for us as we've been a selling club for a while.
