I saw Jota play some excellent football for Celtic. Probably an upgrade on Benrahma. I read that he quit Saudi in August last year after signing for Al-Ittihad in July. If he's not been getting a game his fitness could be an issue.

Jota not happening because of wage / tax issues, I worry a bit about his pace in any case.

Would rather keep Fornals over Benrahma if we had to keep 1 really.

Why not just make it a 3.26m loan fee for him & Lyon pay Benrahama a 1m signing on fee. That'll go some way to compensating for the reduced wages on his new deal.


Make the loan an obligation.


Lyon are not in a great way financially. If Benraham is chasing wages he is best advised to accept a move to Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunate that he copped a 3 month injury in pre season. Has made it very difficult for him to get a go, this is the best thing for him short term.

I wonder if Jota's agent played the Hammers. He's now going back to Saudi and will be included in the Al-Ittihad squad. Was it all just a negotiating ploy?

Hammers recruitment and who they are letting go seems a bit haphazard. Is there still a battle between Steidten and Moyes?
