Hammers have probably overpaid but the transfer market has a lot of side deals to third parties that can fill their pockets.
I compare him a bit to Diego Carlos who went for 25M to Villa from Sevilla.

It's a risk / potential slight overpay, but at the same time, we haven't paid say 30M for him either, so I'm hopeful.

15mil euro option to buy.

The BBC are saying the new agreement will have a £8.5m buy option. About 10m Euros.

But the salaries can eclipse the transfer fees. The last deal had Spurs paying his £8.6m per year wages. RB Leipzig will be glad to keep him off their books.

Thought he was only fair in the games that I saw but Ange is going to need a lot of players over summer to play his style across both the PL and Europe and Werner is at least a flexible squad player.

Will Ange survive a Newcastle like dip at the start of the season because I can see that happening quite easily with the squad stretched. Tottenham's current squad players are shite.

Ange mostly started Werner when he was fit. But he seemed to be the same player as he was at Chelsea - when he had the highest negative goals to expected goals differential in the Premier League. Scored 10 in 56 games, should have scored 18 or 19.

He'll probably go ok against poor quality European teams.

Spurs fans seem happy with it.
