I don't think he's(David) really that good and is why no big club has gone after him. Take away penalties and his goal numbers aren't great for a CF.

Can Delap just say no thanks to City and allow Ipswich to get a better deal?

At a guess, yes.

But, let's say Chelsea want to pay £70m for him. We can buy him for £30m off Ipswich and sell him to you for profit.

We can offer a small chunk of that profit.

He gets the move he wants and a small fortune.

Everyone is talking up Obi, but he's only putting up numbers in the Juniors at the moment. There's been plenty of players come and go like that (See the Newcastle guy who was going at over a goal a game and is now back playing in Denmark - Sorensen?)

EDIT: Sorensen it was, he's now back playing 2nd tier in Denmark after not doing so well at Pompey.
