After the season he’s having? The sort of playmaker Bruno Fernandes is would make him a huge asset to plenty of clubs, that price would be no problem for a lot of clubs.

But we aren’t selling, so it’s a moot point. :p
Do you have the option to say no if that release clause is met?

I guess I worded it wrong. Bruno would need to agree to a transfer if the release clause is met, we can’t outright decline selling him if the release clause is met.

I don’t think he would want to leave the club though. He is our club captain and loves the club.

Depends who it is. Defifnite top 8 club in the Champions League/Title contender in their home country? He'd jump if the wage was right. As "good" as United have been since Carrick took over, the way they play would have to be matched by the incoming manager, i.e fast counter attacks. They don't have the cattle to change that at the moment into Pep style possession and domination. Doubt they have the ability to change that in the transfer market that quickly either. Requires a new striker, 2 new midfielders, new full backs and centre backs.

That depends on how the release clause is met.

Some release clauses may stipulate that a player may end their contract once the release clause is met in a valid transfer window and a transfer is agreed by another club.

Others simply mean that a transfer can be discussed if a clause is met.

The only association that has mandatory release clauses is in Spain where a player can unilaterally end their contract by paying the release clause themselves and there's nothing their current club can do about it.
