Surely they'll have more money than that and go for better. No offence to Guehi but they could pretty much buy any CB they wanted within reason.

Palace will want to do a deal on Guehi with 6 months left on his contract. He's home grown, it makes sense for everyone. I'd expect 20 million or so would get it done pretty quickly as we wouldn't want to be haggling for the entire window and buy him on deadline day. Plus Joe Gomez is also off in the summer with his contract expiring and little chance of a new one on offer.

Palace want a fee in January. We already had an agreement with Guehi in the summer window, it was Glasner vetoing the sale that stopped it.

Im confident we can land him if we go back in and put up 20m in the winter window which would be worth it IMO.

Not much we could do the wages being offered to a academy kid(we have a wage structure). I guess we just hope Quenda and Estevao turn out as predicted.
