Apparently Chelsea and Strasbourg have done 11 deals this window
I really hate that. I get why the clubs like it but I've never really loved the idea of multi club ownership/partnerships in that sense.

We also got some lad in from Chelsea on loan.

That’s the thought process Chelsea go in with during the transfer window.

“We are about to buy some lad from Venezuela.”.

Think it also includes Rosenior.
Yeah i think its up to 12 now. I now its a bit dodgy but its so refreshing being able to get deals done for reasonable prices for a change with out all the dick swinging. So smooth.

Barco will be the next one in our sights, turned into a really good mid fielder(and we seem to have worked a way around Brighton milking us haha).

Strasbourg fan base is over it. I know chef will defend it but Strasbourg are essentially being operated as Chelsea ressies with Bluecampaigners decisions regarding Strasbourg being made with Chelsea being the number one priority.

Why would i defend it, I'd hate to be in Strasbourgs position. While they are now attracting and receiving better players than ever(and their academy is now first class), deep down they know where they'll end up if they are top shelf.

But in saying that the goal for both clubs is the same in each league.

This is the highest Strasbourg have finished in decades so surely it's a bit of a deal with the devil? Would they rather sink back into mediocrity? It's not like they're a Lyon or something.

You don't understand the fanbase quite obviously. We won the cup before blueco turned up.

I chat with a few online, the ultras would rather be poor and on their own instead of part of blueco while the mum and dad family types seem happy with the arrangement. Theres a bit of a divide in the support base.

OK? Did I say they'd won nothing? Portsmouth won the FA Cup not that long ago too. How many times have they finished top 5 in Ligue 1?

I guess it's like how some people lambast the oil nations buying their club but then as soon as they become good (like Newcastle), they couldn't care less.

Some people have better things to focus their energy on and are just happy to see their team doing well. No coincidence it's the ultras who have nothing else going on in their life who care the most.

French football is in a pretty existential situation so any club with strong finances would be reassuring.

As someone with family in Alsace, many of whom attend games I can personally tell you that there is significant pushback against Blueco and the current management of the club.

To understand the fanbase you need to understand the history of Alsace, what is has been through and how the club has evolved. The club was in dire straits 15 years ago - relegated to amateur leagues. It was restored to Ligue 1 and winning the cup without the help of anyone but locals mostly. We can do fine without Blueco - at the moment the relationship is all one way. There are protests against Blueco regularly every week and it isn't just the ultras either. It would be manifestly incorrect to suggest it is just ultras that have issues with Blueco.

What RC Strasbourg fans want is autonomy for the club, not for every decision made to be made for the purpose of benefitting Chelsea over what is good for the club.

Something similar to how Tony Bloom runs his European clubs pretty much as separate entities (Hearts / USG) to Brighton would be what the average fan wants and would be happy with.

I will be trying to get to a game myself when I visit England.

I can certainly see both sides of it.

Personally I wouldn't love my club being used the way it has been by Chelsea.

I wonder how sheff Wednesday fans would feel.

Hence the "I can certainly see both sides of it".

Is it much of an existence if you're just being used and abused by a more successful club?
