Just when Cardiff beat Boro in the Cup. Looked a handy player. He would possibly be better off going to a mid table EPL side first to get more game time, but having said that if he's good enough he'll flourish at United.
Wouldn't put it past them with the current situation with our "custodians".
And I wouldn't put it past Tom and Uncle George to sell our best "asset". See what Thicks did at Corinthians.
With Riise leaving, Smith would make a perfect replacement scapegoat.
And anyway, Liverpool need a balanced attack. Torres' brilliance would be perfectly balanced by Smith's ineptitude.

He was quoted somewhere as saying he was only going to leave Atletico for Liverpool as he and his friends were huge Liverpool fans. Even said his captains armband back at At. Madrid had "You'll Never Walk Alone" on the inside. Man. Utd were definitely keen on him a few seasons back.Doesn't Torres have a 5 to 7 year contract with Liverpool? They can only sell him if he agrees to go.
Torres stuck with Atletico Madrid through thick and thin. I read a comment from one of they key people at Atletico saying that they're surprised that he stuck with them for so long. He'll be the same with Liverpool. I reckon that Torres is one of those rare players where it won't matter how much money Chelsea offer him, he'll still want to stay at Liverpool.

Please god yes.

Stars are in the Western Conference Finals and are nowhere near bankruptThey might not be doing so well soon. (Keeping in mind I don't have a clue about the NHL - and don't actually have any idea how they're travelling)
He's almost bankrupt. AGAIN.
You're quite welcome to have the Yanks (and Parry).
Your club is just shit.

.VfB Stuttgart are lining up a move to bring Andriy Voronin back to the Bundesliga from Premier League side Liverpool.
Voronin has had a far from spectacular season at Anfield following his summer free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen. He has failed to cement a regular starting place with Rafa Benitez preferring Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt as his attacking options.
The Ukrainian international has made 19 league appearances mostly as a substitute and scored five times in the process. In his last season at Bayer Leverkusen he played 31 times bagging 10 ten goals.
Stuttgart sporting director Jochen Schneider has reportedly already made contact with the 29 year old’s advisor Andrej Golowasch over a possible move to the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadion.
Voronin’s contract with the Reds runs until 2011 but it is understood they are willing to unload the player as they seek to reinforce their squad for next season.
Stuttgart are also not averse to taking the forward on loan if a permanent move cannot be sealed.
The Ukrainian has had previous spells in Germany with Mainz, Cologne and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Birmingham's on-loan striker Mauro Zarate is in talks with two Premier League clubs. (BBC Sport, 1342)
They're not yet are they?
I looked the other night, they were out of the relegation zone with one match to play.
unless something goes horribly wrong, expect dani alves to sign for barcelona in the coming weeks
