Ameobi off to West Brom for 2.5m apparently.

Someone just sign him, please.

Tell you what Liverpool, we'll chuck him and Milner in a double deal for 10m.

Bargain.

Arshavin has been quoted today as wanting a move to Spain. He'll likely end up at Barcelona.

Arshavin confirms Spain interest
23 June 2008 | 19:30 - PA Sport

Russia playmaker Andrei Arshavin has revealed that he is ready to turn down offers from clubs in England and Germany in favour of a move to Spain.

Manchester City, Newcastle and Arsenal are just a few of the English Premier League clubs reportedly interested in the Zenit St Petersburg star who has impressed at Euro 2008.

Without revealing names the 27-year-old claims to know of offers from England, but insists that his dream is to play in the Primera Liga.

"I know that I have offers from England and Germany, but what I would really like is to play in the Spanish League, in the Primera Division," he told Spanish newspaper AS.

"It's the championship I've always followed, I like the football they play there.

"But, at the moment, I don't have any offers from Spain."

Those offers may soon arrive with Arshavin having been heavily linked to Barcelona following his starring role in Russia's 3-1 demolition of Holland in the quarter-final.

Those reports were sparked by comments from Russian Football Federation president Vitaly Butko, who claimed that the player has his heart set on a move to the Nou Camp.

Real Madrid, Valencia and Atletico Madrid are also being reported to be interested in testing Zenit with an offer.

Whichever club he chooses it seems his time in the Russian league is soon to come to a close.

Zenit coach Dick Advocaat has already revealed that Arshavin has told the UEFA Cup winners he wants a move abroad.

Now the player too has publicly admitted it is time for a move to a bigger club, adding: "Maybe the moment (to move) has come, yes."

Funnily enough I couldnt think of any team in the world he would suit more then Liverpool atm. Put him on the right of your 4-2-3-1

Reina
Carragher Skrtel Agger Drossena
Mascherano Alonso
Arshavin Gerrard Babel
Torres

Might be able to challenge for the title....
haha, challenge for the title? :D

The League Cup?

stop drinking.

Arshavin's clearly angling for the dream move to Sporting Gijón.

Go on Andrei, you know it makes sense.

I hear that he's recently discovered his Basque heritage and is even more secretly angling move to the might of Athletic Bilbao. :)

Easy to look good in a side with not much quality.. like Torres :p

I'd say it's easier to look good when you are surrounded by quality than the other way around.

Arshavin is a quality player and has been for quite a while. Fair enough if you don't believe he is World Class, that is your opinion, but just because you believe it doesn't mean anyone that thinks differently is a fool.

Quote's from Adriano Galliani interview.

"At the moment there is only one deal in motion, and that's for Adebayor," he said.

"Milan remain true to their word, either Adebayor comes or we keep things as they are, with (Alberto) Paloschi.

"We're happy with the forwards we have. We've got Paloschi who is fourth choice after (Alexandre) Pato, (Filippo) Inzaghi and Borriello."

"I keep saying 10 years ago Premier League clubs and Serie A clubs could offer the same figures, now we can't offer half, we're poorer."

"Some people are talking about Huntelaar, but I'm not sure he's better than Borriello," he explained.

"(Karim) Benzema? He costs too much and they (Lyon) are not selling.

"(Adrian) Mutu? There's no approach for him. The Romanian is a second striker and we have Pato in that position.

"(Antonio) Cassano? We haven't inquired about him. Like Mutu he's a second striker.

"As for Drogba, Chelsea say he's not for sale.

"For Eto'o, Barcelona are asking for too much money, and the player himself wants far, far too much. These are figures which just aren't compatible with an Italian club."

On Ronaldinho Galliani claimed that the Brazilian had an offer from a club in England that Milan could not compete with.

He said: "It's not true that we're considering a bid for him. He has a ridiculous offer from England and it can't be matched."

Chelsea or City?

Hmmm...

Just read an article claiming that Nasri has come out publicly saying the Arsenal deal is done. It mentioned 15.8m pounds and a 4 year deal.

Nothing from Arsenal just yet I don't think.

A couple of days ago he (Galliani) said it was City with the massive offer.

I can't see him going there though. IMO he'll want CL so he'll go to Chelski.

I can see him going to City more than I can see him going to Chelsea to be totally honest.

We'll see though.

i have no doubts that its man city.. thats why its taking so long.. i reckon city have matched our asking price its just that ronnie is weighing up whether or not he wants to move there... if it was milan or chelsea who had made the offer it'd be a done deal by now

I don't know about that.

If Chelsea,

1. want him

2. offer anything close to what Manchester City does re; wages

then he's theirs.

no contest really.

I know money isn't an issue for Chelsea, but would they seriously offer him close to 200k per week?

If they do they're even more moronic than I thought, considering they don't even really need him.

Pompey made a 9Million pound offer for Peter Crouch, and had it rejected. Pool wants 10 apparantly. Redknapp to consider his options.

Yossi Bennynoon has rejected an offer to move to pompey as well

Anyone else see Wenger in the stands of the Spain/Italy game?

I think Arsenal will make a serious play for Silva. If they sell Adebayor, then a Villa, Silva double swoop is on the cards.

Yes please.

Apparently we're in a position to get 30-35mil+ for him, which is absolutely incredible. He'll be exposed big time at another club.

30-35m? Euro's I assume. Even though that's still absolutely insane-ane-ane.

He's just gash. Will be exposed and Arsenal will be laughing all the way to the bank/Valencia/*insert wacky Nigerian Club here*

Ronaldinho blow for Citizens
Wednesday 25 Jun 2008

Manchester City's hopes of luring Ronaldinho to the Premier League have been dented following an admission from the player's agent that he favours a move to AC Milan.

Ambitious City owner Thaksin Shinawatra has made the acquisition of the Barcelona and Brazil forward his main summer transfer priority.

However, fellow suitors Milan remain in the hunt for the 28-year-old and his brother and agent, Roberto De Assis, claims Italy is the player's preferred destination.

The former world an European player of the year has also been linked with moves to Chelsea and Internazionale.

"We have always had a good relationship with Milan and always been in contact," he is quoted as saying.

"The possibility that Ronaldinho will play in the red and black shirt next year is still there and is the same as a few months ago.

"Nothing has changed. We know that Milan like Ronaldinho and that Ronaldinho likes Milan and we will continue to work to bring the best player in the world to the best club in the world."

Seems the lure of a big club will take precedence over ca$h

Marseille have reached an agreement with Lyon for the purchase of Hatem Ben Arfa.

Rumoured to be in the range of 11.8 million pounds.

I'd assume OM wanted to snap him up before Nasri left to appease the fans. So the Nasri deal will probably go through now.

Surprised there isn't more clubs having a nibble at that price, although his mentality is questionable apparantly.
