Thats what i thought to but it was listed in the "in the papers" section on the man city web site

Definitely not at Man City - at the moment anyway - played in Seoul last Friday night in the final warm up game and will be playing at the Olympics this Thursday night.

It's hardly the first time similar claims have been made.

News to me, but some suggestions of the top of my head maybe.

Perhaps Steve Carr deserting in order to fulfill ambitions at Newcastle may have something to do with it. He did carry on a little in the press at the time. I must admit to throwing the odd barb re: Mr Carr & his now fulfilled dreams.:D

Perhaps it goes back to the Gazza & Waddle days or even Sir Les/Ginola. To be honest looking at those names we appear to have done better in exchanges between the 2 over the years.

*cough* Jermaine Genius *cough*

Anyway, very reliable source is saying that the Coloccini deal is done.

The Sun have linked us with a 32m pound move for Villa. Here's to some good dreams over the next few days before it becomes apparent that we can't sign him.

Dear train69 and ridiculous duff,

Could you please stop guaranteeing these transfers with these ‘reliable sources’ of yours.

Cheers,

Spunky Surfer Sandy Cohen.

I guaranteed Keane. He arrived.

1/1. 100%.

you guranteed 39 different prices.

everyone knew Keane was coming.

you picked up on it after the media did. nothing special there.

I think you predicted every price for the transfer but the right one. ;)

He was only 8 million short. Give him a break

Keane - Berbatov's irrelevant, less talented strike partner.
Torres - Villa's irrelevant, less talented strike partner.

Trend yet?

Was first mooted back in May by one prominent forumite. I only pass on information that I hear/read. I have no direct contact with any sources. I don’t pretend to.

The fee that was discussed the most was something like 10-12m upfront, another 5m later on, and another 5 related to clauses. I don’t think the up front fee was too far different from that, only just more of the money was guaranteed in a second/third installment(s), instead of clauses.

When did I ever suggest that the potential fee was only 11m?

Up front, yeah possibly about that. But it was always going to be more than that over the course of the contract/clauses on his success.

You’re good at making things up Embers. Try writing novels or something.

“Why Dean Ashton is worth 25m pounds”

A nice fictional one to start with. Plenty of laughs to be had with this one Embers. Comedy gold. Sign me up.

I’ve got “Puffin” (are they still in business?) on the phone, dude.

bus24 would so dominate the price is right. '$25,000 for the Lambighini thanks Larry!'

Saw one on the way home on the footy express the other night. Moved nicely. Yellow it was.

Rafael Van Der Vaart has signed for Real Madrid... not happy.. we'll need another quality signing now i reckon to compete with them this season... only cost them €9m as well!
