Flo-Po is the subject of a tug of war between Benfica and Atletico Madrid.

Madrid looks to be the destination for him. Recreativo have accepted a bid in the range of 10 million Euros according to reports.

I hope we've got a significant sell-on clause.

On reflection, he could have been useful and had some success teaming up with Torres. Certainly better than some of the lemons we've got currently.

Super agent Vincenzo Morabito claims Arsenal are considering Peter Crouch as a possible replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor.

99.999999% (100%) chance it's bollocks.

But funny all the same. :D

Why is Ben Arfa going backwards?

Guarantee of first-time football.

It's hardly a backwards move anyway, Marseille aren't exactly nobodies. Plus I tend to think Lyon's era is drawing to a close. They only narrowly won it this year and someone, maybe Marseille, is going to knock them off their perch soon.

Does him being a super agent make him a super c**t? All agents are c**ts, therefore that should make this bloke a super c**t. Hard luck Vinny.

Arshavin to Barcelona is gaining momentum:

arcelona would appear to be in pole position for Andrei Arshavin following confirmation from Zenit St Petersburg that the Spanish giants had made a formal proposal for the playmaker.

Arshavin is fast closing in on Cristiano Ronaldo as the most talked about player in Europe, as his displays at Euro 2008 have boosted his profile.

It was widely expected that Arshavin would head to England this summer, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City and Newcastle strongly linked with his services.

However, his efforts have caught the eye of Barca and following confirmation from the 27-year-old that his dream is to play for the Catalans, the Camp Nou giants were thrust into the spotlight.

Arshavin’s dream may soon become reality as Zenit claim the Spaniards have opened the lines of communication.

”Barcelona has made a formal proposal to Zenit for the purchase of Arshavin,” Zenit sporting director Konstantin Sarsaniya told Sovietski Sport.

Reports suggest Zenit are looking for €15 million for Arshavin, but there may still be hope for the interested parties from England.

Sarsaniya added: “We will only talk about this once Andrei returns to Zenit.”

Arsenal, Liverpool Hijack AZ Teens

Two of AZ’s most promising youngsters have been snatched by English giants Arsenal and Liverpool respectively, infuriating the Dutch club.

The Algemeen Dagblad reports today that 17-year-old attacking midfielder Vincent Weijl will move to Liverpool and midfielder Oguzhan Özyakup, just 15, is on the verge of joining the Londoners. AZ are only entitled to a training compensation sum in each transfer. Özyakup was born in Zaandam to Turkish parents, but also possesses a Dutch passport.

Helpless

The Dutch daily writes that the two teenagers have already agreed personal terms with their new employers, who have however not yet officially contacted AZ. “But we know how things stand. We just sit here, unable to do anything,” technical director Marcel Brands told the AD.

Brands had unsuccessfully tried to convince the talented duo to stay on with the club, who last season managed to hold on to 18-year-old left midfielder Marko Matić. The Dutch U-19 international of Serbian heritage had also received a bid from Liverpool, but Louis van Gaal promoted him to the AZ first squad, offering him a professional contract up to mid-2010.

Holman in, Pellè out

Meanwhile, the Dutch club are keen on offloading Graziano Pellè, who only managed four goals in 32 appearances following a six-million-euros transfer from Lecce last summer. The 22-year-old Italian could be heading back to his homeland after AZ bought Australian international Brett Holman from NEC for three million last week. Milano Koenders, Haris Međunjanin and Germain Agustien are also expected to move.

It's so disgusting. Leave kids in their home countries till they are 18 at least.

I think you should let him sign for Liverpool, seeing as apart from a few, our attacking players are absolute dross.

Theyd be destroyed by most teams you think being 11 vs 3 and all.

Ben Arfa and Benzema don't get along. One was always gonna leave.

Spurs have agreed terms over Gomes with PSV. Terms with player are now being discussed and will have to pass work permit.

I assume they're paying through the nose?

Still, they'll recoup a fair bit of it, seeing Villa are linked with Paul ____ing Robinson for 5m.

Middlesbrough are bracing themselves for an approach from Liverpool for Stewart Downing. While Gareth Southgate, the Middlesbrough manager, wants to retain the England winger, it would be difficult for the 23-year-old to resist the lure of the Champions League.

Urgh.

:(

At least he's better than Milner. And he's only 23? Strewth, it seems like he's been around forever.
