18 million for Keane is just crazy. Rip their arms off and feed on there bones. As far as replacements go Spurs will probably use that money to buy Diego Milito and a new CB

You know that at least a 3rd of it is success based Embers.

I.e winning the league.

(i.e. they won't ever see it) :o

Even still. Theres so much better out there. Hes flippin 28 too. Went from David Villa to Robbie Keane pretty quick. Marlon King cant be too far off

I can confirm that Keane won't be joining Liverpool, after all Daniel Levy has said that Spurs weren't interested in selling at all.

One to please Apollo, Villa are looking to scupper the Kaboul to the Mackems deal. I wonder if he will be such an ardent supporter when he's dropping bollock after bollock for his own side.

West Hams next signing will be a striker on loan. From wide ranging as Adriano, to Gudjohnsenn on loan to what is most likely Edison Cavani from Palmero.

Kaboul should leave the country stat. His reputation is down the toilet atm.

What will Man City do. SURELY you need some help in the centre of midfield?

Tell me the mistakes he made?

He gave the ball away a couple of times. That's all.

And then all you internet puppies formed the opinion of one idiot and classified him as a dud.

He's far from that.

I'd love for Villa to sign him. Better signing him than the more consistely poor, not good at anything Ben Haim.

More then the mistakes, the fact he acts like a twat on the field is what gets me. I really think you dropped the ball by letting Gary Cahill go. Hes much better then Zat Knight

Signing for Spurs wasn't a good start. Slagging you manager wasn't a good finish. Pretty much rubbish in between.

What does Ben Haim have to do with Kaboul and whether or not he would be a good buy.

Arnt Man City looking to sign Ben Haim. I hope you dont. We got a ripe fresh Lucas Neill for a third of the price. Take him while hes hot and available

Not really a priority, but we've been linked with a couple of central midfielders (Annan, Banega). Right wing is our most urgent need at the moment, then a left back, another forward and then a central midfielder.

So Elano is a CM now? I noticed the change but didnt think he was gonna stay there permanentely. He did play his best footy as a RW

???

He very rarely played on the right (and then it was at right back for a few games late in the year).

His best football was as the man behind the lone striker, I would have always categorised him as a central midfielder though.

The Sun are linking us with Palace's 17-year-old Victor Moses. Simon Jordan wants around £3m for him, so is he as good as Aaron Ramsey then?

Still likes to drift into RW which is the position he played before joining Man City. Im not sure how well Jo is gonna go as the lone striker. For a big man he loses his feet a fair bit from what ive seen. The papers are saying your gonna sign another striker (not Bellamy thankfully for both of us :D ).

No.

Still an exceptional talent though, and will play Premier League footy sooner rather than later.

Only seen him in the play off finals and I thought he was very impressive. Not as good as Ramsay but hes not that far of that level. Very strong for a 17 year old. I think if you were rating youngsters in the CCC last year it would be

1. Ramsay
2. Moses

Hes definetly worth way more then 1 mill. Id be annoyed if we didnt make a bid if thats all he is gonna cost.

Ireland was our right winger for most of the season, Vassel played there a bit as well. Elano kept himself in the centre of midfield most of the time, the only change was that for some reason he was reluctant to get forward as much as the season went on.

When have you seen him play? I watched him in the EB/Streymur game and he didn't give that impression (while not totally blowing me away either). He seemed quite strong on the ball and held it up reasonably well. Either way, I'm not sure we'll be playing 1 man up front under Hughes.

We've got a few forwards missing from the start of the season (Jo at Olympics, Benjani injured, Bojinov still not 100%), I think the papers are adding 1 and 1 together. Santa Cruz has been lined (more 1 and 1 I think), Milito has been linked and I just hope that you're right on Bellamy.

Owen warns Newcastle he is ready to walk out on a free
Simon Williams and Dominic Fifield
The Guardian, Saturday July 26 2008

Michael Owen has warned Newcastle United he will leave on a Bosman free transfer at the end of the season unless they improve their contract offer. The England striker has told friends he wants to stay at St James' Park having been impressed by Kevin Keegan since the manager's return in January. But talks over a new deal, which began in May, have dragged on because the club are reluctant to match his wage demands.

Owen's £105,000-a-week contract has less than a year left to run and in January he will be able to open discussions with rival clubs about a free transfer next summer. Although the 28-year-old would rather stay at Newcastle, he knows he is likely to receive a larger wage offer elsewhere if he leaves on a Bosman and as a result he and his advisers are negotiating from a position of considerable strength.

Newcastle's owner, Mike Ashley, is keen to reduce wages but Owen does not see why he should take a pay cut after proving his worth with 10 goals in 19 games at the end of last season. The club, though, are mindful that their £16m signing from Real Madrid has played only 47 games for them in three years because of injuries.

Hah.

What else would you expect?

Disloyal, disrespectful, lying, greedy shithouse ****.

Friedel signs for Villa but they also lost Wilfred Bouma for the year with a dislocated ankle. They need signings bad. Barry has to play LB for them now

Chimbonda signed with Sunderland for 4.5 million. Good deal for both sides.
