That attack is better than Liverpool's. Multi dimensional and creative.

Liverpool still has a better midfield.

Tottenham's defence will be most interesting.

If their defence holds up and actually performs as a unit (for once) they're more than capable (talent wise) of finishing ahead of Liverpool.

I can see where you are coming from AC but in reality their defence is not that good.

They'll have another season of high scoring games. I won't say they can challenge top 4 unless they buy another centre-back.

They need another CB in case King doesnt stay fit. In reality Woodgate is a great defender. As is King. But both are very injury prone. If both stay fit Tottenham have a great defence IMO.

if newcastle are in for coloccini i think tottenham should have a bid too..

tottenham are looking good:D looks like i jumped on at the right time!! haha

Bentley deal confirmed.

Bentley to The Lane

We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Blackburn Rovers for the transfer of David Bentley.

The England international made 133 appearances for the Ewood Park side - scoring 21 goals - after initially joining on loan from Arsenal in August 2005, the move being made permanent in January 2006.

The 23-year-old has now won six senior England caps after previously representing his country at B, Under-21 and Under-20 level.

I agree.

Looking OK. Still suspect in the defensive half but if we start to resemble what Ramos had Sevilla looking like I will be very happy.

It looks as though Man city are really going after Santa Cruz maby the plan is to play Jo on the right wing.

Looking forward to seeing who the first Tottenham player to implode will be.

Once again it seems that they are buying good players without much of a view to how they will make a good team.

And whats the bit about Modric Ricketts?

Someone was saying he's just a lightweight foreigner, and might not adapt to England, or maybe it was that Dos Santos guy, but i haven't seen either of them play.

But it's a theory i kind of agree with, and with your best and most consistent player gone (Keane) and spending all of that money on Bentley, risky midfield you have.

I'll assume Berbatov is definately staying now that Keane is gone? You'd be screwed if he leaves as well, and signing Arshavin is the minimum you need at the moment

Bentley deal confirmed.

Not sure what's worse - paying 15mn for Bentley or knowing 7mn goes to Arsenal.

Would be happy to get Pennant in as the replacement with the funds and still have change even after paying out Arsenal.

Vinnie Grella as the holding midfielder.

C'mon Incey - sign 'em up.

I don't think Modric will be too lightweight for the league, I suspect Dos Santos might struggle a bit in that regard. Arshavin (if he signs) is probably the same as Modric, pretty small but should be able to cope with the physcial side of the league.

Expect them all to get a thorough kicking throughout the year just to see if they can cope with that side of the game though.

Hope the Sun are right

"Newcastle are locked in a £8.8m tug-of-war with Tottenham over Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabricio Coloccini. SunSport understands both clubs have made bids for the Argentina centre-half.
Newcastle are offering better personal terms with a deal of £35,00pw. But Spurs have a slight edge as Ramos is a pal of Deportivo president.
It is understood the Atgentine would prefer a move to London".

Thats what makes it exciting moomba.

No Spurs fan will ever be able to say what you were saying just a year ago...."Hopefully I get to see a goal at one of our first 10 home matches this year" :thumbsu:

At least we won't be saying "I hope we don't concede 8 goals a game".

Oh crap.

The Sun are never right :p

And Deportivo want more than that anyway.

QPR have signed Dani Parejo on a 2 year loan deal. He is the best youth player we have at the moment under 20 i would suggest. Him and Jose Callejon who went to Espanyol would have been the best two.

Mr. Levy apparently in Russia talking with Zenit.

It's going to be a massive 2-3 weeks for Spurs coming up, not sure we are going to be able to gel in time for the season though.

yea i saw that too! he is very highly rated is that young boy.. 2 years is a good stint as well.. might be good this year but after a whole year of settling in he might set the EPL on fire in the second year of his loan deal.. (QPR should be playing premier league by then correct?) or are they still way down?

either way i don't think its good news for madrid.. kids who bugger off to england never really come back and with QPR cashed up now they'll be able to compete wages wise and he'll be guaranteed first team football by the end of his loan deal..
