Who the hell is your first choce goalkeeper now. Its not that Turnbull bloke who played a few times last year. He was a calamity wasnt he?

It's either Turnbull or Jones for 1st choice. I thought Turnbull was ok from the few games last season, Jones however is a real calamity

Manchester City, West Ham and Fulham have all made moves for Nigerian teenager Dele Adeleye, skysports.com understands.

The 19-year-old currently plays for Sparta Rotterdam in Holland but he now looks as if he could be set for a move to England.

Adeleye, an imposing central defender, has caught the eye playing for Sparta since joining them last summer.

Sparta first spotted Adeleye in action for Nigeria at the World Under-20 championships, which took place in Holland.

They secured a deal with Shooting Stars FC to sign him last year - but it now appears he could be ready for a quick move after just one season with Rotterdam.

A host of English scouts have been making regular checks on him and both Everton and Blackburn were strongly linked earlier this year.

Now, after excelling at the Olympics for his country, Adeleye has attracted bids from City, West Ham and Fulham, although Sparta are bracing themselves for further interest.

At least two more English clubs are thought to be ready to make a move, while interest from elsewhere in Holland, Germany and France is also strong.

Adeleye has played every minute of Nigeria's impressive Olympic campaign to date and he will line up in the quarter-finals against Ivory Coast later this week.

If Anton's going to go for $8M to Newcastle, then I would like to bring this guy in as a replacement. Been quality in the Olympics apparently.

Crystal Palace to miss out on Unibond Division One North side Wakefield's "star" Tom Denton according to manager Neil Warnock - "It looks as if he is going to join Blackburn, which is disappointing for us because he is a very good player."

WTF?

Ince has 12-15mn weighing him down - the first time a Blackburn manager has had so much cash to throw around in a long time - so I don't think a guy from Sunday pub sides is who he should be targeting.

All due respect to Emerton and Reid a RW (of Premiership standard) to replace Bentley would be a priority I would have thought.

Has the Colocinni transfer to Newcastle actually been finalised?? If so why would they buy Anton?

Because we're selling Faye

We haven't officially announced it on our offal as yet, but it's been everywhere else, and in the club shop you can order a shirt with Coloccini on it, so I'd say it's done.

Ivanovic to Milan has fallen through... Chelsea and Milan seem to crack the shits at each other over a couple of mil and if Milan had the right to buy him outright after the loan period..

Baptista to Roma is done. €9m + €1 for each season they qualify for Champions League over the next 2 years. Will earn €4.5m a year which is €2 over the cap which they have held previously.

What a twat, so i'm assuming if Spurs don't sell Berbatov to Manure in the end then Manure can sue him as well?

I don't recall Berbatov signing for Man Utd....

Borgsta, I think you missed the point kane was trying to make.

Anyhoo, the latest news is that Spurs won't sell Berbatov to United until we buy Daniel Levy a pony.

Would they take a donkey?

Robbie Folwer to Blackburn

"I think we are close to doing something with Robbie," Ince told Blackburn's website.

"I've said all along that he has to get his fitness and sharpness and we are now seeing good signs of that."

"In the last three or four days in training he's been absolutely different class."

:D:D

Correct - shit. The only good thing is it coincides with having 7 on the subs bench - bigger chance of him sitting through the full 90 minutes hopefully.

Can't complain too much about a free signing - apart from pissing wages up the wall. Happy to be proved wrong though.

From Arshavin's agent...

"Andrei would love to go to England but but if it stays like this, there will be no deal."

"Zenit will not sell for a penny less than 25million euros (£19.7million) and Tottenham will not go above 22million (£17.3million)."

Hmm..

He can still finish. Always been lethal.
But unfit, old and slow, obviously a shadow of his former self.

Hope he goes well if Blackburn do sign him.

Rumors around that we have accpeted a bid of 8 mill rising to 11 mill for Anton Ferdinand from Sunderland. From what I hear though both sides are playing a bit of a game with Anton trying to get more money out of us and us trying to get him to sign the contract he rejected.

Cant see a bloke like Anton living in Sunderland personally... Im disappointed in the fee if true. In all honesty accpeting a bid was the easy part. The hard part will be convincing Anton to move to Sunderland...

Rather keep Anton thanks.

He'll end up being worth more than 8-11m and I'd rather keep him than be forced to try and buy another CB to replace him.
