Seems like Chelsea are gunna get one of Robinho or Kaka. Apparently, Milan are considering a 22mil + Ivanovic offer. While Robinho's agent hasn't ruled out the possibility of a deal.

Real have confirmed they're willing to let Robinho go

Roque Santa Cruz signs new 4 year deal with Blackburn Rovers.

I am sure that won't stop the British hacks linking him with every club desparate for a striker or Blackburn with a replacement.

It was a must that Blackburn held on to him and they've done so, excellent piece of business for them.

gee, I can't wait to see this Ivanovic play.

going by that he must be worth about 50 million.

Well it looks like its shirt burning time for me. We put up an offical announcement on our website which we only do for transfers and the like.

1. Real Madrid knows about the comments made by Robinho and deeply regrets them given the high personal and professional esteem that the Club has always held the player in, as he deserves.

2. Real Madrid would never retain a player on the team against his wishes and would have no choice but to call for a unilateral resolution of the contract if the player willed it so.

Big Phil is going to have to get coach of the year if he keeps this whole squad happy. So many ego's.

Dollars will delete those egos id imagine. Id imagine Ballacks gonna be the hardest one to please. I can see him falling a bit out of favor if Big Phil chooses to play two wingers in the side

Malouda or SWP might as well pack their bags right now. As you said Embers Ballack won't like bench time one little bit. They are going to have a shit load of wages sitting on the bench crossing their feat thats for sure.

Obi Mikel might see his game time reduced as well and being a young kid on the improve he won't stand for that long.

I wouldnt be surprised if Real Madrid were angling to get Malouda involved in the deal, Maybe 5 mill + Malouda. Unfortunately for Real if Robinho does go it doesnt give them much time for a replacement. I was thinking theyd probably go after someone like Daniel Carvalho or Quaresma but do they really have enough time to sort a deal out...

We have enough money to get anyone we want so at least we can rely on that and not having dodgy American owners.. We were linked with Di Maria the other day but i don't think that will happen.

Casillas
Ramos-Pepe-Canavarro-Marcelo/Heinze
Gago/Diarra
VDV-Guti-Robben
Raul-Ruud

Is what i think will be our first X1 at least till Sneijder man comes back.
Canavarro is still injured but he is back training now.

I don't think you do. At the start of last season, you really wanted Ballack but he didn't came because you couldn't afford his wages at Chelsea.

Robinho is leaving because he'll get paid a lot more in London. No surprise also Sergio Ramos has been linked to Chelsea, while Raul and Casillas publicly stated they had signed a contract extension below their market value.

The whole Cristiano Ronaldo thing was an exception, but overall it seems you can't compete with Chelsea in terms of wages, which is why you've signed Sneijder, van der Vaart, Gago etc... - good players but there's better - while Chelsea can sign whoever they want apart from Messi & a few other Barcelona players + most or all Man Utd/Arsenal/Liverpool players.

You do spent a lot on transfer money though.

From Sky:

Manchester City are in talks to sign Brazilian midfielder Thiago Neves, according to the player's representatives.

Neves has caught the eye of City boss Mark Hughes after impressing at the Olympics with Brazil.

Hughes is now believed to be preparing a move for the attacking midfielder before the close of the transfer window.

A representative for Grupo Sonda, the consortium which owns 66 per cent of Neves' registration, claims a deal be could be close.

"The chances of an agreement with Manchester City are great, but there are other teams interested," said the Grupo Sonda spokesman.

City could face a battle for Neves' signature with Atletico Madrid also in the race to sign the South American.

A report in Spain says Liverpool offered Voronin + cash for Riera to Espanyol. Rejected because they didn't want Voronin.

Says Everton want him as well, so we'll be upping the bid to 8m euros, possibly rising to 12m euros.

Player wants to join Liverpool, doesn't want to join Everton.

Not sure how good the source is.

:( As always the way, wants to join the big money club instead of the better club ;)

No surprise anyway, we can't even sign a hack from League 2 if we wanted.

He clearly wants out of Espanyol, though. If Everton have a bid accepted, and Liverpool don't go back in for him, I could see him signing for you.

The thing is... I dont even know whether we have money! We're supposedly after M'Bia but theres no official bid announcement on the Everton OS, all these others we've been linked with.. its nothing. So I doubt whether we have like 12mill to bid for him.. or what they want, which is as much as Sporting want for Moutinho.

On the surface at least there should be money. According to the club, in the last few months they have recieved:

-£45.7million from TV rights and prize money for finishing fifth in the league.
-£400,000 prize money from the UEFA cup.
-£1.5million in further installments from the Rooney transfer.
-New shirt sponsorship from Chang that will earn £2.8million per season from now on.

Added to this would be:
-Approximatly £10 million recieved for the transfer of Andy Johnson.
-Approximatly £5 million recieved in january for James Mcfadden.
-Money from the League Cup run last season (Wouldn't be much mind you).

Also:
-The outsourcing of merchandise and catering will continue again this season which according to past finacial statements, generates a guaranteed £2million for the club.

Major expenditure in that time would be:
-£1.5 million on Dan Gosling.
-I would guess approximatly £2million spent on the ongoing Kirkby fiasco over the past few months.
-£100,000 on the upcoming EGM.
-Interest payments (have no idea how much though)

This would suggest on the surface that there must be funds available to the manager, and it is the managers ditthering, rather than lack of funds that is responsible for few signings.

reckon any of the nigerians from the olympics will make a move in the last few weeks? a few of them looked fairly decent..

World Cup? :p

Maybe.

But I'd think big clubs with extensive scouting networks would have had a good look at most of the players that are any good.

Many times I'd say.

We have been linked to that Adebeleye fella for yonks. We have Edison Cavani on trial it seems. Reel him in Nani

How much do we think Tottenham will overpay for a striker. I wouldnt sell Carlton Cole to them for less then 12 mill.

Rumours: There are growing rumours that Everton are closing in on the signing of Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Gone from quality to also rans... and like our midfield wasn't short enough with Osman, Arteta, Baxter, Cahill and Neville.
