I think we bid £35m. So either Tottenham sold him to United for a discount (unlikely) or they rate Campbell at £11m.

Berbs refused to join City despite the ridiculous wages it seems. Refused to show up for his medical

Robinho Man City .... nice.

Reel him in Al-Fahim. ;)

That has a nice ring to it. Go on, say it aloud.

Great work Chal-say.

It's a fabulous result. Real Madrid lose a player they didn't want to lose and Chelsea don't get him.

Oh, and how long before Chelsea fans start whinging about City splashing the cash around? Maybe the Chelsea fans will start singing, "You've got no history" the next time they play them.

Err...so either Spurs sold him at a discount, or they value Campbell at £11m. Just like I said, sheesh.

The Guardian had a link to the local Hull newspaper, and it implied that United did pay 30mil and Campbell, for a total transfer valuation of 37mil.

Couldnt hold a gun to his head. If he wont sign, he wont sign. He would rather stay with Tottenham then play for City. Exact words from his agent apparantly

I don't get your point. They value him at £35m by agreeing the fee with us. If they sell him for less, it's commonly known as a discount. Whether Berbatov wanted to go to us or not is irrelevant.

Hard work you are.

Hardly. City overpaying for players has nothing to do with Man United. They shouldnt be restrained by your ridiculous bidding/fees.

A person isnt a house. You cant sell to the highest bidder all the time

I have no idea what you're on about. I think you've missed the point totally.

So no change then.

But we valued him at 30m before City's bid. Have we just given him away for 28m now.

Robinho to City apparently a certainty. Robinho is a gun and I'll actually enjoy watching City play this year.

No paperwork submitted for Frazier Campbell from anywhere.
Daniel Levy refusing to talk to anyone is really disconcerting.

I don't get it, why would Robinho agree terms with Manchester City when he came out the other day and said he wanted to join Chelsea?

Real Madrid are quite sad here. Chelsea sold them Robben last year without too much resistance. Obviously having the class to replicate the gesture is too much for them.

Anyway, glad to see Robinho in the Premiership in any case. If he does sign then good on him and good on City.

Not really. City bid a idiotic amount no other club in there right mind would match. Tottenham know that.

Closes at 10am AEST doesn't it?

Nope closed now, although you always get a couple of deals that get announced after the end of the window.

City bid 42m euros. Robinho didn't give it a 2nd thought. Seems he just wanted to leave Madrid desperately.
6m euros after tax per year for Robinho.

They doubled Chelseas offer. A good player but a idiotic offer. The type of offers City will be making in the future

Will be plenty of deals announced

Chelsea offered 19 mill. City offered 32 mill.
