He's a bit of an unknown really though, but he's meant to be fairly good. Still, he's got to adapt to the EPL.

Yer he is a bit of an unknown but he should be a decent player if he was signed by Valencia..

If we had a kept a hold of Faye, Emre and Milner we would have had very good depth...

You guys could get relegated Embers.

You'd wanna hope Ashton doesn't get injured....

I seriously cant see many people survivng past January 31st. Coaches, staff, fans included. Talks of a mass protest where everyone will refuse to leave the ground already...

To be fair to him EnglishWarrior has been saying he wants rid of him for months.
I'm not glad he is gone with absolutely no ****ing replacement.

Didn't you guys sign Pavlychenko? He isnt Berba but he would be more than a suitable replacement..

We'll be fine.

Not sure about top half though :( /

We have to make Upton Park a fortress and keep Bellamy on the pitch. Its not as assured as youd like to think. Be honest. Were closer to relegation then a top 8 finish atm.

You were talking about a replacement for Berbatov not Keane...

Well we lost 3 strikers in the past 7 months and brought in 1. If Pav is a replacement for Berbatov before he actually went then where the **** are the other replacements. Perhaps GDS for Defoe but that is being very ambitious.

Thats fair enough, Pav would hold you in good stead but as you said, you still need a few more strikers to compensate for Keane and Defoe...

Daniel Levy scored a phyrric victory. Sure, he'd be happy that he got a "win" by getting the 30mil fee he was after. However, Spurs would have been better off he he accepted the 25mil bid from one or two weeks ago, and you would have had time to find a replacement striker.

So in the case of Everton whose squad is still severely lacking. Can you still sign free agents and do loan signings or are the loan deals only stuff like emergency keeper cover?

Disagree about accepting a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago we had spent a net total of about 3m. We had done most of our spending and were perparing to buy more when Liverpool threw 20m at us for Keane, meaning we definitely had the money to spend on players regardless of Berbs leaving or not.

We have known realistically that Berbs was going for the past 24 months and waited til the last week of the transfer season to buy a striker that plays a similar role.

Man Utd were always going to pay the 27-28m required, waiting meant we got an extra 5.7m thanks to City.

Apparantly Tottenham tried to sign Carlton Cole before the window shut but ran out of time. Fee of around 10 mill. If we sold him too.... **** me.......

Ill ditto that. Losing another key player would kill me. I dont give a **** about the transfer fees anymore. If the club doesnt see a cent of it what does it matter
