Yeah, it seems Nakata wants out of Parma, after a year of playing out of his preferred position. Nakata is a classy player, and if he doesn't want to play for Parma (unfortunately:(), he will fetch a tidy sum...

Looks like Seaman has signed for City on a one year deal.

Gee isnt it great to see Man U the only soccer club in the world!

Reports today in one of the 'quality' papers over say that Arsenal are back on the case for Stephen Carr & that he may have a £4m sell on clause written into his contract, I'm dubious about this as surely the tabloids would have latched onto it but it's one that keeps on coming back.

It would be a nice firm slap in the face for all our Yiddo friends should it come to fruition & it would be a nice reconciliation for Carr & Sol.

Giggs can come warm the bench at Inter, no problem.

Nah, we desperately need a left winger. He'd be a good option, Kily Gonzalez is the other player we're chasing.

Ryan Giggs is the best left wing in the world. He cut the Azzuri apart last year when Wales defeated Italy in Cardiff and drew with them in Italy. If the Italians don't agree explain why Wales is above Italy in their group for Euro '04 qualifying.

He isn't as good as Pires.

I'd beg to differ. I believe that Giggs is more explosive and has more natural talent. When he is on his game no-one can stop him. Pires is probably more consistent but for the ability to rip a game apart I'd go for Giggs.

Giggs won't come to Inter. ManU wouldn't dare sell him because he is so much better than Beckham. Doesn't matter, Kily Gonzalez would be a good buy for Inter, as would Andy Van Der Meyde, who is in advanced talks with the Nerazurri.
Also Inter are touted as wanting Montella and are prepared to swap Cordoba and Dalmat. Hey why not? Inter only has Vieri, Crespo, Adriano, Ventola, Kallon, Recoba, Martins. It's not as if Cordoba is any good anyway.....

Leicester has just signed Steve Howey from Manchester City

Rustu has agreed terms with Barcelona and will move if prez Laporta is elected in the presidentail elections. Barca also in 'advanced talks' with Beckham and are touted as being ready to spend $40m on a player who is better off the field raising money, than on it.

Real Madrid are keen on both Samuel and Cordoba as they look to sure up their defence. Seem to be happy to trade Claude Makalele as part of the deal.

Roma are spining their usual amount of ***** with Totti claiming they should buy Legrotagllie, Davids, Cisse. I wonder if Sensi can wave his wand and find the money to buy those players for cash strapped Roma.

Milan want Stam, and they should be able to get him from stuggling Lazio. They also want Cafu, who has cancelled a deal to go to Yokahama Marinos in Japan.

EPL clubs are now allowed to loan players between themselves. Sorry, I'm not that up to date with the EPL tranfers but I've heared Kanoute is of to Tottenham.
Actually, Berger has just signed for Portsmouth and Stephen Carr is looking to leave Tottenham for a chance to play Champions League football.

No arguments here. I said i'd have Giggs, what more do you want?

Soccerage rumour. No way Inter would sell Cordoba. Dalmat is injury prone, but just about the most talented player at Inter, I doubt he'll be sold, but it's possible.

Adriano is still at Parma. Recoba will probably move on. Poor old Nicola Ventola (personal fav of mine) will probably be shafted for good. We will need a striker, but not Montella. I don't think he'd fancy the bench.

Adriano is still at Parma

True, but surely Inter will buy the other half of him back. Surely. If they didn't I would ask Moratti for his health insurance number and personally lead him to the closest mental home.

Jokes aside, Inter and other clubs as well, need to get their priorities right. Years of throwing huge amounts of cash at players are abruptly ending and as seen in the EPL, money is in short supply

Small transfers for quality players is needed. No use buying another striker if you have another 9 able to play at the level. I have been very critical for Inter, who I reckon have wasted Ronaldo's tranfer money. I still think Crespo and Canna are good players but Inter should have sured up their midfied before adding players to their already quality defence.

Personally, I think Ventola should be sold as should Recoba, to buy wingers and mabye a good ball winner in the centre alla Gattuso and Makelele. Above all Cuper needs to play some more attacking soccer

Also, I'm concerned that clubs seem to buying players from overseas than trying to produce them. Encouraging youth talent and scouting for promising players with relativly modest transfer fees, seems the way for the future for all big clubs.

Out of that list, i wouldn't mind Kluivert, Ronaldinho, or Makele. Having said that the David Semen to Man Utd proves these rumours are a load of crap. Not coz Semen is already at city, but why the F*ck would United want Seaman?

Why the f*ck did United buy an ageing Raimond Van Der Gouw?

Why the f*ck did United buy an ageing Tony Coton?

Ah thats right, before your time.. My bad...

Why the f*ck would United want to buy ANOTHER aging keeper AGAIN? Just because it worked before doesn't mean it will always work. All the duds Deni$ bought to North in his time at North didn't exactly work all the time.

We also bought Andy Goram who was about 140 years old or something.

Fergie also re-signed Les Sealey for a second stint at Old Trafford (pretty sure he was past 35 years old).

Whilst I don't think Fergie seriously considered getting Seaman to Old Trafford, on his past record, you would think that Fergie likes to have experienced 'keepers as a back up to his #1 'keeper. The tabloids probably added 1 and 1 and got something other than 2.

This would have to be the poorest logic and reasoning i've seen to an argument. What is wrong with higher education these days??

Trying to use the AFL as justification is laughable. Two totally different sports, in case you hadn't noticed.

As Shinners pointed out, Fergie likes experience on the bench. I can recall a game against Dortmund in the CL where Van Der Gouw made save after save to keep us in it. Experience is somehting you can't get in a kid, and it sure would help our youth keepers out.

If memory serves Jim Leighton also kept in goal for Scotland at France '98 or some other major tournament? He was no spring chicken either

It's the same idea Einstein: what works sometimes doesn't work all the time.
